Cards with a chance in the first, bases loaded, two outs.

Choke artist Jim f*cked up a chance to have a productive out (as always) with runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out.

Scotty don't at the plate.

'Hamas' Jenkins
10-18-2006, 06:33 PM
Rolen chokes like the f*cking dog that he is. If hitting weak pop outs were counted in batting average, Rolen would hit .900.

'Hamas' Jenkins
10-18-2006, 06:36 PM
F*ck. Reyes homers. 1-0 Muts.

'Hamas' Jenkins

A quick glance into the Shea stands disproves the Theory of Evolution. 2 out.

Fitting.

And the Met bitterness comes out when their backs are against the wall.

And the Met bitterness comes out when their backs are against the wall.

Bitterness because we're down one game?

I hated the Cardinals long before this series.

Marcellus
10-18-2006, 06:58 PM
As long as we get to count to 4 at least one more time and hopefully twice.

Magic number is at 5.

'Hamas' Jenkins

Bitterness because we're down one game?

I hated the Cardinals long before this series.

Why?

Eckstein draws the leadoff walk.

Unlike my Royals bitterness, which is present at all times. :)
Does anyone else think Spezio's soul patch is just really dumb?

Anyway, M-E-T-S, Mets, Mets, Mets!

'Hamas' Jenkins

Hell of a pick by Lo Duca, but Eckstein steals second.

Reaper16

Walking Pujols. Smart? Yes.

'Hamas' Jenkins
10-18-2006, 07:03 PM
Gotta believe this is the smart play...walking Pujols. Edmonds is too damned stupid to lay off the high fastball, which is Maine's best pitch.

'Hamas' Jenkins
10-18-2006, 07:04 PM
Does Maine have the nuts to try and throw his changeup for a strike on 2-0?

'Hamas' Jenkins
10-18-2006, 07:05 PM
Two more LOB by Edmonds. That's four for the game.

Reaper16
10-18-2006, 07:05 PM
Thats some pretty decent fastball placement by Maine.

Thats some pretty decent fastball placement by Maine.

But once again, the Cardinals hitters aren't dancing with the girl who brought them. If they'd just take that pitch the opposite way instead of trying to pull it 420 feet, they'd have scored 3-4 runs on him by now.

Reaper16
10-18-2006, 07:08 PM

I'm really getting tired of Rolen. He's been busted up in the postseason every time but 2004 since he's been here, and then he was worthless outside of game 2 and 7 of the LCS. He just kills our lineup. Tony should have started Duncan against Mayne, we could use his power.

Marcellus
10-18-2006, 07:28 PM
I like Rolen but his bat is kiiling us and he needs to be dropped in the order if he is swinging like this.

His shoulder is not healthy.

Head for the park and greet the Mets.
Hot dogs, green grass all at Shea,
Guaranteed to have a heck of a day.

Horrible execution...we always hit like shit against pitchers who throw mid-high fastballs, b/c our hitters have no plate discipline and won't go the other way. When we do, we usually touch teams up.

ROFL ROFL

We lost this game in the first inning when we could have blown it open against Maine and Jim, Mr. Yuck, Edmonds, and Scott "Oh No, the Playoffs" Rolen looked like they were facing Steve f*cking Nebraska.

Johnson hit Green because he hates Jews.

Wagner is just going to destroy Encarnacion and Rolen...it's gonna be like pushing a kitten through a meat grinder.

Ok Rolen, time for a double play so we can get more sleep.

Choke-artist bitches. Never before has a team this deep in the playoffs of any sport been so utterly painful to watch.

Oh well. On to Game 7. F#ck.

Isn't it amazing how Rolen all of a sudden rips a pitch when we are down four runs. What a heartless sack of shit.

And now your backs are against the wall.

Lefty on the mound, which the Cardinals struggle with.

We won't need Wagner when the Mets put 8 runs on Suppan.

He's Pay-Rod without the big salary. The guy's nails when nothing's on the line. I wouldn't mind seeing him get shitcanned along with Jim-my-pussy-hurts-Edmonds. :#

He's been our best pitcher in the second half. I'm fully comfortable with him up there.

That lefty you are talking about gave up 5 in 5.7 IP on Sunday and has the worst ERA of any pitcher to ever start a postseason game.

I would bet on a Mets win, but I don't think it will be a walkover

Your lineup for tomorrow should be

Eckstein
Taguchi
Pujols
Wilson
Spezio
Encarnacion
Belliard
Molina
Suppan

At home, he's very good.

On the road? Not so much.

5.36 era with an opposing batting average of 313.

He was also 2.15 ERA w/ a 1.22 WHIP in September and had a 2.39 ERA after the Break. A good portion of those starts were on the road. He's also pitched a game 7 before.

probably
appropriate, given this was arguably the worst all-around effort of the postseason (there has to be an argument for Game 4 to have that title, too)

Possibly because
This was the biggest game of the year and we came out flat/jet lagged?

In Albert we trust.

I was gonna ask why
and then I saw a post about stabbing Rolen in the heart and running him over w/ a bus or something like that. Sheesh! Those guys should really stay over at the p-d boards!

Damn, that's a really nice post. Replace Rolen with an underperforming Chief or something and I can relate.
Really, thats a good-ass line. I wish I could have posted it about something.
