I am taking my son to the game tomorrow. Could someone please tell me the best way to help him get some autographs.
Thanks

Ornery answer- Have him just run onto the field during the game...players love that.

Serious answer- I'm not sure, but I think I've heard the area at the end of the tunnel to the players parking lot post-game is where most autograph-seekers wait. I'm not sure beyond that. Hopefully some of our others posters will have more definitive suggestions.

Chiefsplanet answer- Have your kid set a bowl of antifreeze outside the tunnel that leads to the players parking lot....

After the game, hang out by the players parking lot.

I think you'll have the best chance of accurate placement of the position, if you tie into at least 2 GPS monuments.

Where do the players park?

They park behind the Pavilion which is on the South side of the stadium.

Considering they're expected to lose tomorrow, you might try to go in the stadium very early and get some autographs during warmups. Eddie Kennison is usually very generous to kids but you can't expect all that much.

Get a paper airplane and write "please sign and throw back" on it and throw it towards the bench. I'm sure that would work.

Stand at the entrance to the Chiefs locker room there on the 50; when the players start to walk in toss your kid down there with a sharpie.

Don't expect any big name autographs...a lot of them have special parking places. I heard that they were down by Kaufman as the tunnel goes all the way to kauffman stadium but i'm not sure...

You are creating an annoying monster by teaching your kid to seek autographs. If a person is famous I cannot imagine anything more annoying than people bugging you for your signature. Take pictures instead.

I have always thought the same.

I got Okoye's autograph by waiting outside the tunnel. He was nice enough, seems like they were not overly pleased with the hoardes of people begging them for autographs.

Sheesh... that was a long time ago.

My son got a total of 6 autographs, including D. Johnson, W. Shields, and N. Smith. He had the time of his life. Thanks all (some of you) for the reasonable input.

So, which option worked for you?

We got to the stadium around 10:30, and went to the bottom of the stands near the chiefs bench. Jared Allen came over after warming up and signed some things for people. After the game we went to the out to the press entrance and some of the older players that were there for the Neil Smith presentation stopped as they were leaving. We also went down to the exit of the players parking lot. It was kind of hectic at one point, and I'm sure that it was hard for the players to stop, but he got quite a few there. I was surprised, most of them either stopped and were pleasant, or didn't stop at all. The only person that was what I would call rude about it was Len Dawson.

Len must have had a rough day. All the accounts I've heard about him have been very positive.

I've met him and got his autograph. Even touch the superbowl ring.
