I've been pretty hard on him lately. Today he has played like I've been expecting. He's pounding the ball and breaking through the D Line. This is the LJ of last year!

Win or Lose, props to LJ

Once again, LJ is proving who the better back is (between him and LT).

THe key today was that we finally started running misdirection and counter plays. We took advantage of their aggressive D and let LJ cut back and run in space for the first time all year. That combined with draws made a big difference.

Stretching the middle of the field was huge today. Tony G was a hero.

Great job Larry!

132 yards rushing - twice as many yards rushing as the last 2 games combined!

that last drive...

LJ's ability to get out of bounds and save a timeout was AWESOME. Awesome.

Him, Tony G, Huard and Allen/Hali get game balls.

Yep. LJ has earned the spot back on my laptop desktop. The Pic of Priest airborn over the Raiders has come down.

He had his best game of the year-considering-SD had not allowed a 100 game all year.

The difference was the blocking. Seriously. Much better.

We also started running from spread formations, as I reccomended.

I only got to see the clip of his TD, but he certainly looked like LJ again to me :thumb:

And apparently some dumbass said they hadn't allowed a 100 yard rusher in 17 games, totally forgetting that he ran for well over 100 on them last year :shake:

Williams was held to 4 tackles. Outstanding protection and blocking scheme against a solid defense. Against Pittsburgh Williams had over 8 tackles before the 4th quarter.

The blocking was better, sure, but the difference was LJ. He hasn't shed tacklers like that since last season. LJ has been going down with the first contact. Today it took sometimes 4-5 defenders to bring him down.

Even when he ran into a wall at the LOS, he pushed ahead for a couple yards.

GoChiefs, You need to make a .gif of LJ flattening that DB on the TD run. That was awesome.

All in good time. This week's game film is going to be fun as hell to make. I'll need to dig deep into my NFL Films music library to find the right song.

Might I suggest O Fortuna for the music.

LJ ran with authority and determination today.

I hope this is the same LJ we get throughout the rest of the season.

Domer...

You're dumb.

I think herm's offensive approach is a bit more predictable than dick's (and I don't think it's a bad thing)...

Last year, it could've been 3rd and friggin' 1 (an obvious run situation), and Saunders could've pulled out a triple reverse hook and ladder pass...a defense could never really key on anything during the Vermeil tenure because we were too unpredictable...Report Post (http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/report.php?p=3452046) | IP: Logged (http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/postings.php?do=getip&p=3452046)
