As a fan of a team who lost a QB for a while this year, I feel bad for them. However, it's nice for us to get a boost in next week's game.

Any definite word on Alexander yet?

Seneca Wallace can be dangerous to a team who has a history of trouble with the bootleg.

Seneca Wallace is about to get an Arrowhead enema. It's going to be ugly.

How about a team whose history of trouble with the bootleg is now a backup?

If Damon Huard has taught us anything it is to beware of so-called "unknown" back-ups.

Mr. Laz

even alexander comes back it would be the same.

without the passing game to free him up, we will stack the hell outa the box.

alexander will be crying by halftime

I think I'd actually prefer to see Alexander in the game. If he plays they'll probably try to lean heavily on the run game to take the pressure off Wallace, and I think the D should be able to handle that.

But if he doesn't play, it could be on Wallace's shoulders and he's an unknown factor. Maybe he'll stink it up or get rattled by the different looks like Rivers seemed to yesterday. But he's the #2 QB on a team that made the Super Bowl, so he must be pretty decent. They haven't had much of a running game without Shaun, so they could come in trying to air it out.

Here's an article on ESPN that has just been posted where Holmgren states Alexander won't be back until Nov. 6 against the Raiders.

No Hasselbach or Alexander? I'm feeling a little better about our chances now! :)

Why are WE the lucky ones? Our backup QB is playing, too. He just happens to be a better player.

How many backups have burnt us in the past. I would not write this up as a victory just yet guys.

Hate to say it, Leinart will be a stud in this league once he gets out of that black hole in Arizona.

If we were 100% healthy this would be an extremely tough road win. Without Hass, Alexander Engram and Pork Chop I would be happily suprised with a W.

I agree with Laz though, Holmy will be dinking and dunking all day long, and Seneca is a tremendous athlete that might be able to scramble for some big yards against a bloodthirsty over agressive defense.

I still say Chiefs will win 21-17 :banghead:

What's your O-line like right now?

Engram out too...wow.

What's your O-line like right now?

We can't run the ball, and our pass protection has been spotty.

I'm sure we'll be fine later in the season, but at this point, they are not the cohesive blocking machine that I'm used to seeing.

I could be wrong, but I believe they have a rookie starting in place of Pork Chop Womack.

And Engram's been out since last week....

holmy was a bit cranky at todays presser..

Holmgren puts players on notice
Posted by Mike Sando @ 03:01:21 pm
Coach Mike Holmgren has finished his weekly day-after-game press conference. He pretty much threatened lineup changes in the secondary and perhaps even the offensive line if, in his words, he can't get the right answers to why things aren't being done correctly. Clearly those issues fired him up more than anything else. Holmgren also declined to talk about whether the hit on Matt Hasselbeck was legal. His feelings were clear by what he did not say. He said they will bring in some QBs for tryouts tomorrow before deciding how to address that situation. He said RB Shaun Alexander might do some running this week but he probably will not play against Kansas City. Holmgren also confirmed that Hasselbeck will probably miss the next three games.
