I know I know.......... I just assumed for some reason that we would get a Monday Night. I just didn't look at the schedule closely. My bad!

We're the Rodney Dangerfields of the NFL. If we ever did make it to the Superbowl they probably wouldn't even have it on national tv.

Lamar had a choice between the Thanksgiving game and some other game
wether it was a MNF game or not I don't remember

I'm glad we don't have a Monday Night. I couldn't make it to the game then. How about Saturday Night football? I would like that.

Sunday Night is the new Monday Night.

Exactly.

Some of you guys need a paridigm shift. The Sunday night game is now the marquee NFL game of the week. I dont care how much ESPN makes you think that their schedule is the best.

The Monday Night games now are like the old Sunday Night games used to be. 2nd teir teams like Arizonia etc....

Every now and then you will get a nice matchup like Giants/Cowboys last night but thats the exception rather than the rule.

The NFL even institued the flex scheduling this year to help protect the Big Game Sunday nights.

We did get a Saturday Night game this year. Its just at Oakland on Dec 23rd.

Id also argue that the Thanksgiving Night game is a nice Marquee matchup. It doesnt get much bigger than Denver at Home, on a Holiday evening against a tough division rival.

Its also the NFL Networks inagural kickoff game.

I don't mind not being on Monday night. It means I don't have to put up with Theismann, Tirico, and Kornholer.

Those three are in the running for worst.booth.ever.

I am all in favor of the Chiefs not playing in the national spotlight - we tend to embarass ourselves in front of the whole country when that happens

If they found a way to get that moron Paul Macguire into that booth it would qualify as the most unwatchable NFL games ever broadcast.

Like the Steelers game for example.

Or the Giants game in 05

The Vikings game in 03

the Monday Night Massacre in 98....

I could go on and on......

Same here...I can't stand waiting until the 3:00 game. I want to wake up at 11, watch the pregame and watch some football at noon. Then I have the rest of the day to have fun or cry

entering the 8th week of the season and you are just now realizing this? :shake:

why does it matter?

You act like this is a bad thing. Pats play Minnesota, at Minnesota, this Monday night, then have to travel back to play the Colts at Foxboro on a short week.

You think I wouldn't move that Vikings game to Sunday if I could? The Colts game could impact playoff seedings, home field advantage, bye weeks, etc., and we're playing on a short week.

I'm not bitching about it, but since you brought it up like it's a bad thing not to be on MNF, I figured I should point out that there's a flip side to that coin.

You could put Madden or Dierdorf on that list as well..

Those 3 make football almost unwatchable....

I would be happier than a pig in shit if the Chiefs were scheduled for the early game each and every week.

I'm pretty pleased about the fact that they don't have any Monday night games.
