I've been to a Super Bowl. If my beloved Chiefs ever make it to the Super Bowl I'll probably watch the game on TV with buddies and family over seeing the game live.

I seem to remember about 21 years ago being up 3-1 against some blue team from the west and they came back and kicked our butts. But this ain't 1985. This is a different team.

No one expected this. Even the most hard core Cardinal fan never expected this deep of a run in the playoffs. I know a lot of you here hate the Cardinals or and St. Louis. Just take a moment and a few deep breaths.

How often in life do we get a chance to see our teams win a championship live? With a lot of luck on my side I find myself and my son with tickets to see my team play for the World Series title. I hope Karma is on my side and my son and I get to share a moment that will last long after I'm worm food.

Even though I don't like the Cards. I hope you and your son get the opportunity to celebrate.

Course, maybe there could be a Billy buck moment too. JK

I'm forced to be happy for about half of the Cards fanbase. They are the either the old-school fans, the St. Louis area fans, the one's raised as intelligetn fans, etc.

The other half are the punks who constantly talk shit, and are generally the worst people on earth. I might be underestimating thier totals when I say they comprise half of the Cards fanbase.

But for the good fans, I can definetly relate to wanting to be in the position you're in. Where you're team, truely your team, is on the verge of something special.

So for you few good fans out there, my constant deraugatory attacks on St. Louisians and thier red colored baseball team aren't geared towards you. They're meant for the real asshole pricks out there. The ones that don't deserve to root for a championship baseball team.

I don't think there is a successful team out there that doesn't have those types of annoying fans. Though I will agree that there seems to be a growing number of Cards fans that are like that in the last few seasons than there has in the past.

That may be true, but you can't go ANYWHERE, especially not to a bar or restaurant when the Cardinals are playing and not have a lot of retarded, annoying Cardinals fans constantly talking shit.

This is the worst when the Royals and Cardinals play during the interleague series. Yes, we get it - Your team is good and our team sucks. I think it's sad to see them play at Kauffman when it's like a Cardinals home game out there with all the red in the audience. I usually try to make it to at least a couple of those games every year just to show support for my team.

So for those type of fans, they can die in a fire for all I care. But I do respect the fact that the Cardinals are a historic, storied franchise that go back to the very beginning of the game of baseball. So for those of you that grew up watching your team and rooting them on, if your team wins tonight congratulations.

I think we can all agree that fair weather fans suck, and obnoxious fair weather fans are without a doubt the worst. They give the real fans a bad reputation.

You know, MLB need to take a good look at the official scoring in games.

No offense to Eckstien, but Inge made a great glove stop and should have thrown him out by 5 steps.

That should not be a hit and an error.*

First opportunity in 24 years to win a title and this guy is shitting all over himself tonight and just shooting the entire team in the foot. It's a harsh reaction, but emotions run high. First opportunity in 24 years and you have a first baseman playing RF in the 6th inning with a lead. He's never been a good fielder out there. What's he supposed to do, say no, I won't go out there? That's squarely on LaRussa. Duncan's not a good fielder, everybody knows it, he's not out there to be a good fielder, he's out there for his bat. He hasn't played much RF to begin with. If you hit Eckstein cleanup and he didn't drive in any runs, you wouldn't be surprised, because that's not playing to his strengths.

Their offense has been very average after the break, and I think it's b/c people started to get the book on their free-swingers. They are in the middle of the pack as far as most O stats are concerned after the break, and they haven't really been all that banged up (save for Polanco in August) opposed to the Cardinals health issues.
