Seriously, this guy looks like crap on gameday. Is he just eccentric or what? Does that everyday sweatshirt have an aura?

Eh, all coaches nowadays look like pages 11-17 of the team merchandise catalogs anyways.

He is to busy winning superbowls to care about what Chiefs fans think about him or how he dressess..

I was listening to the NFL network on Sirius this morning and they were talking about how he coaches.

They said that his game plan was, since Minn has such a tough run defense, they were going to spread them out and make them adjust to the Pats and not beat there head agianst a brick wall, by trying to run the ball for no gains...

That is one of the best coaches to ever roam the sideline...

Ever considered migrating to the Pats board? We'd hate to see you go...but......

Normally, I couldn't give a damn about what the coach wears. But I have to admit frayed, cut-off sleeves on a sweatshirt is about as unproffesional looking as you can get.

Nope just saying, They are more concerned with results than looks.. Hence the 3 superbowl wins.... Nothing sexy, just business and wins....

Unfortantly, I am here to stay.

Lets hope Herm and the ball cap will get us the same results as well..

Um that is kind of what I was getting at....

Look pretty good from a team with fans that havent sniffed a superbowl since Montana was here and havent been to one since I was born.

I used to be one of his biggest critics when he took over the Pats in 2000 or so.

I just remember his coaching days from the Browns and how his personality was like watching paint dry.

You wont hear a peep from me these days about him. I think his resume the past 5 years speaks for itself.

Belichick reminds me of an eccentric genius. I don't think that he does that shit to be different, I think he does it b/c he's generally f*cking weird and has almost no social skills. That being said, when you are that good with X's and O's, it doesn't really matter what your personality is.

I noticed the frayed collar on that sweatshirt last night. The funny thing is, I'm not on national TV and I won't wear shirts with frayed collars out of the house because I don't want people to think I'm a bum.

But as alluded to earlier in the thread, I'm sure he doesn't give a shit what I think. Nor should he.

I work with some hippie looking types, they can build great code.
Do I care what they look like. NO.

He builds / coaches and doesn't care what the NFL thinks he just gets it done. Hats off to BB. Fashion plate NO, Next NFL will have a dress code. Ties/Tom Landry coats/hats.

The Pats have won one game this year worthy of mention and that was in Cinci. They have only played one non mediocre team in Denver and got blasted.

They have beaten no one really good but will get their cahnce this weekend against Indy.

Everyone is missing the guys point, he didn't say he isn't a good coach, or isn't the best ever to coach in the NFL. Most would agree he is a top 5-10 to ever coach in the NFL. That wasn't the idea of the post, it was simply to point out how crappy he looks on gameday. If you wanted to reply, you should have just commented on the dress, he didn't make any comments about how good he is as a coach... If you agree or disagree stickly about his dress then you should have responded but no one cares about what you think about his coaching on this thread... geeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

They DESTROYED the Vikings who have a very stout defense and will more than likely be a playoff team. On the road. Their loss to Dever occured early in the season when their passing game had yet to gel (all new receivers). They look to be the cream of the AFC at this stage.

They do have an easy schedule this year...but they had a brutal one last year. It's about time they got a break. I say this will give them the opportunity to have less injuries for once, adjust to losing some players especially Branch after that fiasco and get their game together peaking just in time for the playoffs. That appears to be the case they are getting better as the season progresses.

Again, that wasn't the point of the original argument. The guy who started the thread didn't say anything about his coaching ability at all, this thread was solely to talk about the way he dresses. How about this... He is the best coach EVER in the history of the NFL.... ok I got that out of the way. Different subject all together that has nothing to do with that... He dresses like a slob..... If you want to comment on his coaching ability start a different thread that is he is the best coach then comment, this was supposed to be soley for his attire..

I'll give you another eccentricity -- he walks around inside Gillette barefoot quite alot. Weird thing I read in some book somewhere.

Frankly, he could wear a pink wig and paint his nails for all I care. I want to watch my professional football team go out and win as often as possible. Short of hiring Saddam Hussein, I'm ok with any coach that can accomplish that.

Pass the Kool-Aid.

Wrong.

The NFL cares.

Apparently they have a dress code for coaches now.
What that is, I can't say exactly.

However, his frayed sweatshirt fits into their guidelines.
But apparently, coats and ties are no longer allowed, cause the NFL won't allow Mike Nolan to wear them.

I think it's something retarded like everything has to be a Nike product or something.

Completely assinine that someone can't dress in a suit in tie if they want. I'll give you one BIG believer that dressing properly was a sign of respect for yourself and your teammates, and related to winners -- the recently departed Red Auerbach. Big believer in it -- the team had to suit up even when traveling.

Imagine if these guidlines were in place when Tom Landry was coaching.

The image of Landry on the sidelines in suit, tie and hat is an enduring image of class.

But..he should still dress appropriately..that doesn't mean suit and tie..but stop dressing like a slob..he dressed better in 2000 than he does now
