Merryman appeals his suspension,gets hurt,then promptly pulls the appeal.Now he gets four weeks to heal up?Top it off he's a guest on NFL netwok thurs.WTF???How is this a punishment?

The whole thing was a mistake. When his lawyer advised him to drop the appeal, Merriman thought he meant "drop a pill" and said, "Sure!"

Of course it stinks.

But we're Chiefs fan, we should be used to the smell.

CHIEF fan or not,dude's gettin over on the leauge.Does the four game suspension meen he was positve before?Or is that only for narcotics?

The same thing happens in baseball. When you allow players to appeal, they can just manipulate the process to serve them best. I'm all for due process, but when you're first and second samples both test positive for banned substances, I don't see what there is to appeal.
