Cornerback leaves practice with ankle injury
November 2, 2006
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis Rams cornerback Travis Fisher had to leave practice on Thursday after injuring his left ankle.
Fisher underwent medical tests later in the day. Coach Scott Linehan said Fisher had his ankle rolled after getting tangled with another player.
"He wasn't able to finish," Linehan said. "We'll see if it's serious at all."
Fisher also has struggled with a nagging groin injury this season. Rookie Tye Hill, the Rams' first-round pick, is the backup at Fisher's left cornerback spot.
