He gives a straight talking, humorous press conference. He allows new players a chance to replace veterans. The Defense is respectable. No excuses.

The main thing that I like is that he plays the players that perform, regardless of how many years they have been in the league. DV did not and on defense it showed. I also think that our drafts will be better than they have been in a long time due to his knack for finding talent in later rounds of the draft being that he is a former scout. His game clock management ****in drives me nuts though.

He is easily my favorite coach since I started following football in the late 80's. He trimmed the fat, he is bringing the D back to dominance, and he is always looking to improve the roster. Quite frankly he is a breath of fresh air following the DV tenure.

I think he will accomplish big things before he is done in KC.

He plays some of the younger talent.

Ditto... I really like the way that he doesnt' seem to have favorites.. just playing the best performers

wonder why Hicks never plays now!?? :)

He doesn't have Charlie Weis/Andy Reid/Denny Green syndrome.

I love watching him address the press. He's alot 'cooler' than most coaches.

He is well spoken and can draw on a seemingly inexhaustible supply of crystal clear analogies to bring his point into focus.

He plays the players who earn the job.

He doesn't have misplaced loyalties to shitty veterans like Eric Hicks.

He doesn't waiver from his convictions and he trusts his coaching staff.

I like the fact that he has let us open up and have a Chiefs offense over the last few games that's looked more like the last few years. I like his hat because I've looked for that 2005 had for over a year before finding 2 on ebay....bought them both. Other than being white, fat and having some hair and no money.....I look just like Herm.

Well he does make a nice subject for a dead on impersonation by LJ.

I like that he cut Siavii, Warfield and Battle. He's got a good line of bullshit in addition to being a good solid coach. :)

I was NOT on the HERM bandwagon at all. He did nothing in NY and I was not pleased with him
coming to KC.

Having said that, I do like how he has upgraded the defense and has made a concentrated effort to
include them in the team. DV couldn't even spell
d e f e n s e.

I also like how he's letting our QB throw the ball down field. Its great to see Tony G and Eddie Kennison picking up JUNKS of yardage. It appears to me that Herm is letting Solari run the intire offense.

Herm is proving me wrong and I hope he continues to prove me WRONG.

With the possible exception of Gunther, he's the first Chiefs coach in 20 years who'll evaluate the talent of a rookie and possibly let him play if he's good enough.
