Thought this was pretty funny, especially considering the way ESPN's talking heads keep right on praising him, putting over his game from last weekend, etc. "Steroids, what steroids?"

Poll question: Do you believe Shawne Merriman's assertion that he didn't knowingly use steroids?

Yes: 29%
No: 71%

Total votes: 35,316

Too bad they didn't do one of those maps that they sometimes use to show how each state is voting. I bet most of the "yes" votes are from a specific concentration somewhere in the California area.

BTW, it's at the bottom of the main NFL section at ESPN.com if you want to add your vote.

Things like this sometimes give me hope that it's the media that's f**king retarded and not the public. Then I go out in public and lose that hope.

BTW, could they possibly make that question more confusing?

"Do you not disbelieve Shawne Merriman's non-negated assertion that he didn't not unknowingly use steroids?"

Listening to Salisbury call him "a great kid" on NFL live made me want to stab him in the heart with a trident.

I think he is just misunderstood. He was abused as a child.

Yup. No human being has traps like that.

I'd also like to know how an injectible steroid got into an over the counter supplement.....

That must be why they had the fine print:

"Upon conclusion of this poll all results will be adjusted according to the pre-calculated ESPN margin of error to reflect public ignorance."
