View Full Version : Automotive help needed: How do I remove rotors on Toyota Tacoma?
My FIL's 1997 Tacoma needs pad and rotor replacement. I took off the calipers and also the bracket that holds the pads. The hub has 5 bolts on the rotor(not the lugnuts) and I even removed them. Still can't get the rotor to pull off. Is there something I'm missing or do I just need to force it off (hammer?).

Lol. I tried putting a 2 X 4 behind the rotor and hitting it with an engineers hammer (small sledgehammer). Nothing.
Oh, and btw, it's a 1996 Tacoma apparently.

Lol. First thing I thought about when I started having this troubles is "damn foreign POS". :D Maybe a bunch of WD40 and a hammer would work.
