How can our pass defense be as bad as it was in previous years? We have two former Pro Bowl corners.

Cause Erick Hicks is playing

Who was back there and let that ball roll past them to the 5?

They could have covered that with no fear of getting hit at the 15.

If nothing else try a few deep PA routes, the zebras are calling a ton of PI this game.

Why not take a chance at a free 1st down?...
I'm all for it, Mikes gotta reach down deep in the playbook and give us some points. Long ways to go now, c'mon Solari mix it up!!!

He said that if DT was a born again Christian (like Bruce) that he wouldn't have been injured or gotten in that wreck. Rick Reilly wrote a column about it in SI during the Rams' run in Jan of 2000

When the opposing QB has seven seconds to throw every play of course our corners are going to look like crap.

But if we put a long drive together here and score some points we can win it. Right here. Right now.

Vindicator
11-05-2006, 01:34 PM
Bad field position, which means Herm/Solari will remain in they're shell. Get ready for another 3 and out, unless LJ dons his cap and breaks a long one.

An excerpt from Reilly's column---

TWO MEN. Two flips of fate.

"Do you ever think about Thomas and say, 'That could be me'?" I ask Bruce.

"Oh, no, not at all," Bruce says.

"Why not?" I ask.

"Because as I was flipping, I threw my hands off the wheel and called Jesus' name."

"Does that mean God doesn't love Derrick Thomas?" I ask.

"Oh, no," Bruce says. "I don't know what Derrick said as his car was flipping."

"What about Payne Stewart? He was a Christian man. Does that mean God didn't love Payne Stewart?"

"I have no idea what Payne Stewart said in that plane that day."

"Well, are you saying if Payne Stewart had invoked the name of Jesus Christ, he'd be alive today?"

"Oh, definitely."

"What about the Columbine High student who was asked by one of the killers if she believed in God? She said yes, and he blew her away. How can that be?"

"You don't know what she said, do you?"

"There were witnesses."

"But you weren't there, right?"

TWO MEN. Pray for them both.

Even if they score here, I think they've pissed away too much time (barring complete disaster) to take the game.

Lzen
11-05-2006, 01:52 PM
why?

just because they've ran it successfully 15 times?

Yeah, that sucks. But I think that's the gameplan. Would you rather have Steven Jackson be allowed to catch passes out of the flats or Holt and Bruce down the field? I think if I had to choose, I know Jackson is the best choice.

Your name is Eric Hicks.

You have to be sure to stay on the ground and watch as he runs 5 yards away and stands still for 3 seconds to complete the pass, too.
