I found a thread (http://boards.ign.com/nintendo_wii_lobby/b8270/130542464/p1) on IGN (via digg) that listed how many Wiis each Target is getting. The guy who posted the list works for Target and a few other Target workers have supposedly verified the info. He also had scans (http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r150/dejaign/LineTicketsWiiandPS3.jpg) of the tickets Target line-waiters will get.

The thread and info is tedious to dig through to find the info, but someone has made a searchable database where you can plug in your city name or zip code to find your local Target's numbers:

http://wickedsick.org/wii_finder/

**Edit - Now they have a Google maps version out:
http://www.ps3seeker.com/wii/ ***

Here is the info for the Kansas City Targets for example (the first column is the number of Wiis):

Target Allocation Numbers
# Wiis Store Number Store Info
24 2222 T-2222 KC Speedway Target Store (913)905-0316 10900 Stadium Pkwy Kansas City KS 66111

At least if you are thinking of getting up early to wait in line, you can do a head count and decide if you should move onto the next store.

BTW - Taget is not doing a midnight opening. They are opening at 8:00 am on Sunday, but will be coming out at 7:00 am to pass out the tickets to people in line. Supposedly they're going to be giving out pop and popcorn as well. Two staples of any good breakfast...

Haven't been to a Target in ages. I've heard they've changed their image somewhat and have improved.

Not many when you consider how many people will want it in Bergen County NJ. I can't get the area code search to work for some reason.

I guess I should have mentioned that.

The Wii comes out on Sunday, November 19th. There will be midnight openings at Walmart Saturday night. I'm not sure about Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, etc.

I may spent that Saturday night between 10 and 12 at Target. I want to play the new Zelda game and the Virtual Console. The VC is a big sell in my book.

Don't miss my earlier post:

Are there any 24 hour Targets? The ones around here have normal hours. My understanding is that they aren't selling any until Sunday morning.

I wonder if Target will have playable units. I heard that EB Games was having people leave their driver's license at the counter to use one of the wireless controllers.

Sunday is rather an unusal day to launch a gaming system isnt it??

It's a day of rest. What better day to waste playing video games? I think it's actually to frustrate gamers who ordered their systems online. No mail on Sunday means no gaming until Monday.

Speaking of ordering online, isn't it odd that we're 12 days away from the launch and Amazon has yet to offer any preorders? :hmmm:
