Chiefs Eight-Game Report – LJ’s Torrid Pace Continues
Chiefs RB Larry Johnson is currently on pace to finish the year with a franchise-record 2,290 yards from scrimmage, which would break the previous mark of 2,287 established by RB Priest Holmes in 2002. Johnson is also on track to carry the ball a team-record 398 times in 2006.

P Dustin Colquitt owns a 46.8-yard gross punting average and a 40.8-yard net after eight games, marks that are both on pace to break the current standards established by the late P Jerrel Wilson, who was enshrined in the Chiefs Hall of Fame in ‘88.

Seven-time Pro Bowl TE Tony Gonzalez currently has 504 receiving yards and is on pace to register his third 1,000-yard campaign. QB Damon Huard has already established single-season career highs for completions (131), yards (1,623) and TDs (11). Huard currently owns a 105.2 rating to rank second in the NFL. Only one player in Chiefs history has finished a season with a triple-digit rating, QB Len Dawson (101.9 in ‘66).
