I am looking for a cheap "on hold" music player for my business.

I am seeing these music players going for $400!!??
Don't want to spend that much.

Anyone know of a way to do it without having to buy a player? Or a place that would have them cheap?
Kind of a weird request, I know, but I figured what the hell.

What phone system do you have?

Just At&T phones, 3 lines. No network or anything like that.

Sorry, I've never put MOH on a POTs line.

You might want to consider putting in a "real" phone system, however. You can do it on the cheap with free software:

That's a free IP based PBX with voicemail, mp3 music on hold, auto-attendant, etc. I've been using it for years and love it. You'd need to get some hardware, but for 3 lines and the necessary phones you're probably only looking at about $500.

I don't have any personal experience with it, but looks like this should do the trick for about $270.
