I saw this at Huff Post yesterday, and even their readers said this was pretty petty stuff.
It's probably Enquirer material though anytime anybody does anything.

Yeah, it's about 50/50.
There's the 'petty stuff' crowd.
Then there's the 'how dare anyone have any fun while there are troops in Iraq' crowd.
Then there's the 'OMG!!11 her parents are alcoholics, she'll end up dead in a ditch' crowd.
And of course, the general 'Ohhhhh!! I hate those people' crowd.

I'm trying to figure out how this is interesting to anyone (that includes the people in your above quotations and yourself.) People drink.
This stuff is definitely low. I hate all the jokes made about the president's daughters. Unfortunately its not the first time the daughter of the president is subject to scrutiny from the bologosphere for alcohol.
Here are some conservative blog entries full with comments bashing Chelsea: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/597962/posts

Here's the cover of Globe that the blog is referencing:

Its pretty dumb that either party engage in this type of stuff.

Just thought it was interesting that these are probably a lot of the same people who wake up every morning hating Republicans because they heard somewhere, some time, some white dude called Chelsea ugly.
I don't think it's interesting that Bab's was at a tailgate party.
I do think it's interesting that some people find it some kind of evidence of something bad in the family DNA.

dam ..... talking about projection and speculation
why not say "i don't agree with it .... much be those dam democrats"

See my first post in this thread. Evidence that people did more than call Chelsea ugly. Not saying that this blog entry is justified or that the Dems should be getting revenge by bashing the Bush twins, just that this isn't the first time the daughter of the president has been vilified by opponents.

:hmmm:
Do you believe there is a genetic predisposition towards Alcoholism?
Frankly, I couldn't care less what a President's kid drinks or smokes.

I think there's a link between putting a bottle in your mouth and alcoholism.

No sh*t, Sherlock. Brilliant deduction, that.
Do you believe the child of an alcoholic has a greater genetic predisposition towards being an alcoholic?

I remember Billy Beer. That was some nasty tasting stuff. Some of the worst Barley Soda-Pop that masquerades as beer I've ever tried. Even worse than Bud or Coors, IMO.

But is it genetic or is it a learned behavior?

I actually agree.
Though I would have to take a pretty thorough shower the next day to wash the demonic taint off.

The first one is 50, the other three are aspects of the other 50.
It's not rocket surgery.
