My mother had a pretty good point last night: I head the words and overreacted. A doc tends to work from less to more serious causes for a bunch of symptoms but if he thinks there's a chance it could be something like that might as well find out early or rule it out.

I'm having vision problems and seriously painful and frequent migraines, it's not like I'm bleeding out of my ****ing eyes or something. It freaks me out but really it shouldn't until I've got a reason to be.

My brother had those symptoms, turns out he had to have surgery. He had a mass of bllod vessels coming off of his brain, going nowhwere but back into the brain. They were growing so big they were causing alot of pain. They ended up cutting 90% of them out over 36 hrs of surgery, they would have gotten them all but he had a stroke while in the 36th hour and had to stop.......

Rausch,

Had some similair symptoms to yours, but not as severe.

Turned out I had what they called an arachnoid cyst.

Its completely harmless, but they originally thought that it was a tumor as well. Hopefully you're in a similiar boat.

Over the years, I found that doctor's aren't 100% sure about anything when it comes to the brain. My doctor through out the "t" word as well, trying to discuss "worst case" possibilities before we really has all the info.

Keep your head up man. This whole deal could blow over as something relatively minor.

I'm having vision problems and seriously painful and frequent migraines, it's not like I'm bleeding out of my ****ing eyes or something. It freaks me out but really it shouldn't until I've got a reason to be.

Back in November 2000 I was having what I would describe as a cloudy eye... It was during deer season and my right eye had what I thought was just a cold...

It was then in January of 2001, that I went and seen an eye specialist... He told me I had optic neuritis... First words out of his mouth were, " You have either a brain tumor, cancer, or M.S."!!! I was flipping out !!!

After afew days, I then realized that I knew people with all three... I went and talked to them, and realized that with todays medicine that all three CAN BE BEAT and very treatable...

And believe it or not -- I found out i had M.S. when I was hoping it was cancer or a tumor... That might sound strange or dumb, but with cancer they can remove it and it might not come back at all... And with a tumor, they can remove it and you can live life as if nothing happened... But; with M.S. --- it has to stay in your body --- there is no going in after it... But; I'm doing great even with the M.S.

Your going to be just fine, and who knows --- it's probably nothing... I will be thinking and praying for you !!!! Main thing -- KEEP YOUR HEAD UP !!!

This response was not about my life --- But it's about your life if any of this happens... You mentioned vision problems and headaches... A friend of mine at works has these two problems EVERY DAY !!! All she has is migraines... She was never diagnosed with anything but that right there !!! And when she has her medicine on her -- it never happens at all hardly... Your going to be fine... Sorry for rambling !!!!

Katie

Rausch,

Hang in there and don't ever stop believing in yourself or fighting. Even if it is a brain tumor, you can beat it.

My best friend has had three surgeries to remove brain tumors since the age of 12 and one round of radiation treatment. His last surgery was almost 3 years ago now, and he has been healthy and tumor free ever since. (That surgery was done at a brain surgeon center in Arkansas ... forget the name, but they're supposedly the best in the world)
