I'm really looking forward to this one, i want to see all involved just beaten within inches of their lives, injuries (not too serious though, would be bad karma for wishing it) and player meltdowns on the sidelines.

I think the Eggo might actually be able to run on the donx this time, their line has been upgraded, my worry is Lilly Livers...will he be made to look average in Incestco???

My gut says......

Eggo - 23

dOnX - 20

How would a tie help us?

Strangely, I think our best bet is for an actual win. If they tie, they each have 1.5 games on us, making it pretty tough for us to overtake either of them in the division. If one of them wins, we can just hope that team runs away with the division so that we can try and take the loser.

I know this is a brutal idea, but technically speaking... if Denver/San Diego split their games, and we run the table beating both of them in the process, we'd still win the division. It'd be at best a three way tie, and we'd have the best division record.

Did you see them last week against the pathetic Raiders? They barely eked out a measly 17-13 win in a 4th quarter comeback. Any team that can only manage that isn't going anywhere....

If Denver wins we could be one game out of first by the end of next week. If San Diego wins, next week they play the raiders @ home and thats a garunteed win. That leaves us 5 games to gain 2 on them. Do you really think we could catch up? I don't. If Denver wins and we beat them on Thanksgiving we'd have a decent chance of catching one of the two and even possibly both because we'd only be one game back of either with five games to only make up one victory. Of course if the Chiefs don't win on Thanksgiving it doesn't really matter and they won't catch either. Thats just how I look at it.

And in your scenario there is virtualy NO shot at winning the division. We'd be 2 games behind SD with only 5 left. There needs to be a show called "My Running backs" featuring in depth backstage interviews with Mike Shanahan as he tries to find his next 1000 yard rusher, or even have a contest called "Who's the next Denver Running Back?" and have 20 contestants vie to be the starter for the Broncos for a year.

And in your scenario there is virtualy NO shot at winning the division. We'd be 2 games behind SD with only 5 left. I'd rather have a shot at winning the division than tying the Broncos for a wild card. We're not going to catch up 2 games to the Chargers IMO, but we might be able to catch up 1. Thats all I'm saying.
I understand your opinion, I just don't think this team is capable of winning the division. Hell, I think they will be lucky to get a wild card slot, which is why taking second place in front of Denver next week is our best bet at getting into the playoffs. I don't care about a division title, I just want a playoff game.

If the Bolts/Donks split their series and we win our games against them (and the rest) we would win the division. All three at 12-4, but the Bolts and Donks would have 2 division losses and we would have only one. If by some miracle we could pull such a feat off.

True. I'm just not as optimistic since the Miami game. After that loss my dreams of a division title and a home playoff game pretty much died. With the injuries we have received this year I would be happy with at least one playoff game, even on the road.

Our best hope in reality is for a sweep by either the Bolts or Donks against each other and we win Thur and at SD. That gives us a one game cushion against the loser for the wild card because of division record.

As for the Denver RB's it is all a system.. Not one and I mean one of them in the last ten years would be as good anywhere else... That includes their savior Davis, he was a really good RB behind a Great system... He was good but not HOF good like they seem to think... It was all that line... Look at all of their other RB's that tried new waters for further proof...

Yes, even those guys had to 50-75 more carries to even equal what they did behind the denver line... All of their averages dropped a half or yard or more and there TD's evaporated compared to win they ran behing the chop blocking oline of denver...

Then there is Olandis Gary and Mike Anderson, they sure have ran like they did at denver also...

The bottom line is a denver RB is only as good as 75% of what you see because of that lines effectiveness...
