Onn any given week with any match up I feel less surprised at the idea of any team winning any game.

Are there any match ups where you feel surprised one team in the NFL beats another team anymore?

No. That's why we are still in the playoff race. Hell, even if we lose, something could happen to where we stay in it.

I would be surprised if, say, the Lions beat the Colts.

Or the Titans. No way they could beat the Colts.

I have to say I was really surprised when that happened.

I would have been, except the first game was so close that them losing the second meeting wasn't a shock.

How quickly people forget my previous work in this area.

if a crapy team like the Steelers can win it all
maybe it's a big deal about nothing

I think the Steelers are essentially the same team they were last year, but aren't getting the breaks or getting hot, like last year. In today's NFL, everything has to be just right, because there are no dominate teams, every team, IMO, is pretty average compared to yester-years.

if not for ESPN hyping them
the Patriots SB teams don't seem all that special

I think the fact that you had to make the word "team" plural proves you wrong.

Of course I am still surprised. If I could correctly predict the games I would be a millionaire.

That's why you need Biff's sports almanac.

Ha! I just watched that about a month ago on one of the Spanish channels. Still entertaining after all these years.

Yep,after 20+ years of following spreads,over/unders etc. it still amazes me how Vegas can draw you in.Perfect example,Browns get shut-out by Bengals so KC is a 5 pt fav,Browns put up 31 and not only cover but win game so what's Vegas do,makes Pitt a 7.5 fav,so alot of people think division game, nasty weather, should be a close one,NOPE.

I'm always surprised when the Raiders beat anyone. They are godawful.
