I don't think Payton could've done much better with our talent...

He's absolutely destroying his mentor, one of the best coaches in NFL history. His team shows up every week, and they have far, far less talent on the defensive side of the ball than we do, yet they manage to get it done. In fact, aside from their huge advantage at WR, we probably have a better overall talent on offense than they do. Our interior line is much better, our RB is better, our TE is better. Our tackles suck comparatively, and their QB is better than ours.

The problem with our offense isn't the players---it's the coaches. Mike Solari is an absolute abomination. He has no semblance for how to call a game. You can call out a lot of things on this team, but I don't think our O is one of them. They score inspite of Solari, not because of him.
