The draft:
- First pick best available player, preferably DT, OT or LB.
- Get at least 2 DTs, a CB and OL but otherwise draft best player available. No projects.
Free agency:
- Resign Jared Allen, Samie Parker, Kawika Mitchell (for not too much $$), Damon Huard (do not overpay) and Tony Gonzalez
- If not expensive, take a flyer on Kevin Curtis
- Sign Leonard Davis or Mike Gandy
- Bring back the Big Terd
- Go after Lance Briggs. Backup plan could be Cato June, Adailus Thomas or through the draft.
- Go after Asante Samuel
Part ways with:
- Greg Wesley, Ty Law, Sammy Knight, Kendrell Bell, Ryan Sims, Lionel Dalton, Eric Hicks
- Gunther Cunningham and any other defensive coaches the new D-coord. doesn't want.
And what if LJ says I want to be paid?

Mine:
Draft - OT/DT First & second round, 3rd - CB, after that best available
Free Agency
Sign Cato June and try to get a WR through a trade (there is nothing really on the market free agency wise)

Then pay his ass. Like we have a choice?

I agree. That just might put a crimp in the rest of our offseason plans.

You meant "when", right?

Yeah, if he goes on to win the rushing title, well... either way, he's done it for a full season, and two half-seasons before that. I can't imagine he wouldn't push to replace his rookie contract. And he's gonna deserve huge money, massive, biggest contract in Chiefs history, by far, money.

Gut the whole damn thing. Bring in a new O-Coordinator and a new QB with fresh ideas.......Let Trent go...he can still play, but his time with this team has come and gone....

1. New front office, with a vision for current and future, unlike the current jokers.
2. New coaching staff, that knows how to coach, and manage a goddamn game.
3. Some decent players who wants to play a game of football, unlike playing dead for the last few games.

I've thought it over, and I know what I want in '07:
1. New ownership
2. New front office
3. New coaching staff
4. New players except for about 8 of them
That's probably more likely than the Chiefs actually winning a Super Bowl anyway.
Speaking of odds, did anyone see Numb3rs this last week? Something about you're 3 times more likely to be killed on the way to buy a lottery ticket than you are to win that lottery? I wonder if that's real.

Drive to Denver and steal one. That's how they got them in the first place.

It'd have to be a 3 year deal at max though.
You know how it goes for 30 year old RBs.

101 the fox said after the game he has 3 years left on his contract but so what? you can't have a dissatisfied LJ as the cornerstone of your team.

Yeah but that's his rookie contract. He is grossly underpaid. I can't imagine he'd risk another year, and possible injury, playing under his rookie contract. I could be wrong. I'm sure Carl will want to reward him, you'd think.
