Robert Fripp ,the guitarist behind my nic, will be guesting on the next Porcupine Tree album along with Alex Lifeson. This should be of interest to atleast a few people on Chiefsplanet. I really hope they use these two great musicians for more than just a few solos.

Awesome ... love the Tree. Steven Wilson is a fine guitarist in his own right.

They announced the name for the new album...

http://www.porcupinetree.com/news.cfm
Roadrunner Records and Atlantic USA have officially announced the release of the new Porcupine Tree album "Fear of a Blank Planet" in mid April. The album features six (mostly lengthy) tracks, and is the bandís most ambitious and cohesive work to date. Much of it was debuted last year on tour to a rapturous response from fans.

--I wonder if they are making fun of Public Enemy (Fear of a Black Planet)...or if they have any idea?

This sounds marketing spin.... like the Beatles 'White Album' and latter bootleg 'Black Album' all over again---- DejaVu. :)
