TO was just fined 35k for spitting in Hall's face.
A few weeks back Nalen was fined 25k for attempting to break Igor Olshansky's knee and end his career.

Do you think the fines are commensurate with the offenses? Shouldn't a cheap shot to the knee warrant a larger fine than a disrespectful goober to the face?

I think so.

Yes, plus a suspension.

They are both pretty chicken shit and should warrant a game off.

To spit in another mans face... Who the hell does TO think he is? He should be fined, one game out, and R Kelly gets to pee on him.

I forget where I saw it, but Romanowski was fined $7,500 for spitting in someone's face, then Sean Taylor was fined $17,500 for it, and now TO is getting fined $35,000. I guess the next person will have to pay $70,000. I think the commish is just trying to prove that spitting is a serious offense, but I agree with others in this thread that Nalen's actions were much more dangerous and severe than Owens'.

What does the NFL do with the procurement of these fines?

If memory serves, the money is generally donated to charity.

Somehow, I have a feeling if TO was fined 500,000 he might not do it again. Same thing with Nalen. Bust their ass and you won't see so much dumbassery.

This I agree. 35,000 is like pennies to most players.

Fine them hard where it really hurts.

Here's DeAngelo Hall trying to jump on Marion Barber after a play was over.....notice the price he pays.

I have 0 sympathy for this guy he's a jackass to Owens level, if not more. Maybe he'll learn not to run his mouth about shutting people down when it isn't even the truth.

Outstanding!!! He deserves all he gets too.

EDIT

Actually, that lineman was dumb. He should have let him pile on and then get the 15 yard personal foul and a first down.

The best part is how Hall flies to the ground right by Witten and Witten doesn't even flinch.

Is there a video of TO spitting on Hall anywhere? I can't believe he admitted it. I haven't seen anything yet. That was a classless move, but for Hall to whine so much is another thing. Nobody has got suspended for spitting on someone before, why should they now. I think 35K is fair. But then again, 35K to TO is roughly about 150 dollars to me.

Other people have been spit on.....just none of them whined about it like Hall has, he's a little bitch that's how he is on the field and how he is in life apparently.
