Not really a strange statue, but pretty cool. This is on a hill near Stalingrad (now Volgograd) to commemorate the battle there.

You can't see it there, but that statue looks over that city, which is a very nice city. More Russians died at Stalingrad than America lossed the entire war.

I remember seeing that statue of Kafka in Prague where he is hanging off a rooftop and it freaked me out because for the first second, you think its a real person. I'm glad that one made the list.
