It's called guitar tapping. They have an instrument just for that style. Chapman stick.

I think this one is better than the thread starter.
Also, I've seen the Chapman stick. Been awhile but I think I saw some videos on their website. Very cool instrument if you know how to use it. My favorite band, Dream theater has been known to use it on occasion.
