 Next? Like it's ever been in doubt this guy was just here for as long as it took to get out.

Feel sorry for the next guy who has to hold GERUNEE's hand through the show.

That guy had possibly the worst radio voice ever.....sounded like he'd been kicked in the balls before going on air.

the show without Grunny is pretty bad. Franz just rants & I'm sick of hearing his, "however..." freakin' redskin's fan

Grunhard is the one person on air in this country that is actually dumber than Mike Irvin.

Have to disagree with you there. Grunny can actually form a complete sentence from time to time.

Franz was horrible.

It was only a matter of time.

Since when is Franz leaving? He's going to be off for the next week he said, but he didn't intimate that he wasn't coming back.

A couple weeks ago some guy from KC was 'auditioning' on air for a sports talk station out here. I only heard about 10 min and they never said his name. Wonder if it was Franz.

Franz said at the end of today's show that you can come to some gig tonight to shake his hand if you want and that tomorrow would be his last show.

He is taking some job in Phoenix to do their morining show.

Ah... I didn't catch the whole show today. I definitely missed that part. Oh well. He wasn't the greatest, but I enjoyed the show, mostly because of Grunnie.

Hmmm guess I heard him out here in phx while he was auditioning. He mainly asked if he should charge the station for the pron he ordered at his hotel room. Among other charges like taxi and dinner and so on. Never did say his name on air though while I was listening.

yeah he must be so horrible that he is going from the KC media market to a PHX station

I don't get it. Why was Franz so bad?

I've been a huge fan of their show, mostly because of Tim. But I felt Doug had a good chemistry as him and he always had well-informed opinions.

Someone can explain that to me?

I don't get it. Why was Franz so bad?

Because people love to hate. Yes, sometimes he said things that it seemed obvious a sane person would disagree with -- but that's part of radio. Sometimes you have to say something stupid in order to spark a discussion. How boring would radio be if every time a host made a point, everyone called in and said "Yeah, that's a great opinion. . . . . . . . . . okay, bye!"?

Right.

Like, I like DA in the morning on my drive to work, but he was one of those morons Monday morning who was crying about Jared Allen & Tony G making jokes in their Sat. night football intros.

Some days you have nothing to work with. That's the media for you, radio and otherwise.

Can anybody tell me why they disliked Doug?

Grunny is prob on the way out as well.is he too well informed for this market? I like his insight. Getting a former players opinion is a good thing especially if they were a chief.

I didn't like Franz from the start. I remember thinking "well, at least the next guy can't be worse than Holden Kushner" after that dude was canned and then I heard Franz and thought "oh well, that's what I get...".

I've always thought of him as AM Kietzman, a self-aggrendizing guy who doesn't really know all that much about what he's talking about, unless he's, of course, talking about himself, which he does about 60% of the time.

I can. He was very arrogant, without good cause for being so. Listen to him take calls for about ten minutes, and he'd always tell 1-2 guys how bad their take was and cut them off immediately. But it wasn't usually because they had bad takes, but usually because they had a diferent position than him.

I would like to know also. Grunnie had a very good take on games, and unlike anyone else on the radio in KC, he cares a LOT more about the Chiefs succeeding than anyone else.
