Where will the promising LT from Wisconson go in this year's draft? I hope he drops to us so we can start rebuilding our senior citizen line.

I hear we are drafting a FB-lol

Until someone surplants him as the best LT in the draft, he'll be gone long before the Chiefs draft.

Positions that don't tend to drop:

pass rushers
run stopping DT
CB
LT
top QB prospects
WR with blazing speed

We will probably draft a Safety or a RB.

After the Royals swept the Tigers to keep themselves from getting the #1 draft pick next year, I definitely see the Chiefs beating the Jags and missing the playoffs so we can ensure a meaningless 9-7 record and a mediocre draft pick.

most mock drafts that I have seen have him going at 3 or 4

Having the pick as the last team that missed the playoffs.....that's how Carl gets it done.

The only positive I've seen is alot of mocks have us taking Dwayne Jarrett and I'm confident he'll be a very good NFL player.

When it is all said and done, 16, 17, 20 and 21 are all much more likely than 19 or any other pick.

I don't watch much college ball, but I've seen enough to agree with that pick right now. He looks like a good physical speciman and is a real football player.

:hmmm:

Actually, he probably will be.

But if anybody is worth trading up for, it's Joe Thomas.

There is a slight chance we could qualify for a pick as early as 14. If the early draft pick fans were dedicated, we could have 27 threads about the scenarios by which we could qualify for that pick.

All I know is I don't wanna be sitting here at 3 in the afternoon seeing that we missed a guy like Jarrett by 1 pick because we beat the Jags in a game that didn't mean anything........I would get pissed about that.

Thank you. We need a new stategy. Hopefully whoever is in charge of drafting understands that.

Heck if we beat the Jags we'll probably qualify for the 20th or 21st and you can get pissed off if we miss him by 3 or 4 picks.

Joe Thomas is a top 5 pick........we don't have enough to get that high, would you like to trade an entire draft for 1 player when we have an aging team?

I'm always one of those people, once playoffs are done I'd just assune lose the remaining games. I don't like missing out on players in the draft because we won games that didn't matter.

yea, I have seen that a lot too. I would be shocked if he dropped that far though. If we do get him, I sure hope he is much better than the last overhyped USC WR.

He's not even remotely like Mike Williams.....he's tall but he's much more lean. Mike Williams is a good 30lbs heavier.

How about Todd Blyte from Iowa State? I know he is a Junior, but he is just what the Chiefs are looking for: A big target who can catch.
