Vueve Clicquot. Even though we're going out to a dinner party NYE with 15 friends that lasts until at least 2am, we've got some Coppola "Sparkling Wine" called "Sophia" for our after NYE festivities.

I like French champagne and if you're buying you can pour whatever....but domestic sparkling wine is in my budget. I drink Washington state Domaine Ste Michelle year round, great value, my cheap-but-tasty house bubbly. Gruet, from New Mexico, is another good buy. Mumm's Cuvee Napa is another one I buy on sale and save to celebrate minor victories. Even those minor victories count.

Fantastic! You are always good for some great adult beverage tips. :thumb:
Perhaps I will now have to save the MD 20/20 for another time. ;)

I have just now decided that champagne, just like ham, can kiss my ass. I'm not over-paying for that crap and then not enjoying it.

I'm partial to dry champagnes and don't really care for the 100% chardonnay variety. I tend to like cava quite a bit and we'll need to see what my local wine guy has in stock.

I'll be drinking the kind of champagne that pours from your moms neck and drips into every oriface on its way down.

On our way back to Indy from KC at Christmas we always stop at Stone Hill and get a mixed case of wine. We always get a bottle of their Spumante for NYE.

I wish Stone Hill could ship to Indiana!

If you like a dry champagne, Freixenet (something in the Brut range of dryness) goes for less than $10 a pop. I like it better than anything else under $25 a bottle.

A true Continental doesn't need your phonetic spelling to get the pronunciation correct.
