Fired already. No patience by owners anymore, he wasn't too bad a coach.

I think that might have been a mistake. Who are they going to bring in? The have invested a lot in the offensive side of the ball so they need a coach to that can make those investments pay off.

I think they should look at a guy like Mouch. You just can't change HC's ever other year, you will never get better.

That's what I'm thinking. Unless they think they can get Weiss or try to lure DV out of retirement!

So do the Cards go after Pete Carroll? If the cheap azz Bidwells weren't the owners I think they would try at least.

I heard a report on ESPN radio Saturday that the Cardinals had contacted Pete Carroll.

Problem is, as long the Bidwells are in complete control of this team, the Cardinals aren't gonna going anywhere for awhile.

It seems proven average to bad coaches are preferred over coaches who might be able to be something better like Sean Payton, Mangini and Kubiac. Why teams try to do it with guys like Art Shell, Denny Green and the such who have been given a lot of chances and done nothing with them I will never understand. Might as well try up and comers. That is how you end up with a Lovie Smith or the such.

Pay Cowher more than he can refuse.

Otherwise, keep fatso for another year.

I don't think he will give up USC for that job..

Collectively, the Bidwells together are the Al Davis of the NFC. Only less competent.

If the Bidwells want something bad enough, they won't be cheap...

Maybe they'll pry Cam Cameron out of SD.

I agree.

However, if he decided he wanted another shot at the NFL, this would be the perfect situation.

That team has a lot of talented players.

He'd have to get some bank, and be given full control, cause there's no way he'd take it otherwise.

I've got Leinart under contract through 2009 in my dynasty league so I hope they hire Mike Martz. :D

I wonder if he's in line to replace Marty if (or is it when?) he chokes.

They should get Cowher if Miami does not snag him after Saban quits.

I can't see Saunders leaving Detroit after only 1 year.

Three seasons is about all you are going to get in the NFL these days. Had he shown improvement, he might have gotten another year, but the Cards played worse than expected.

Also, he can reunite with his boy Leinart.

I need to know who the coach will be. I have had Edge in a keeper league for a few years and have to decide if he is worth keeping again after this last season.

FringeNC

Their offense was a lot worse after Green threw OC Rowen under the bus during the season. (I wouldn't mind getting him back if we can.)

Their meltdown versus the Bears probably sealed Green's fate.
