Indy is only 3.5 hours from STL, so it's a no-brainer for me.

Actually, if anyone is interested, there are single seats available on Ticketmaster......

So, who's going, or is thinking about going?

Making the 8 hour trip from Lawrence to Indy to go to the game with the Colts fans that I grew up with. It makes the game so much bigger when you have all of your old friends from high school on the other side.

I live just south of Springfield. I'm making the trip! Tickets don't appear to be a huge problem. Singles available on ticketbastard. Plenty on Craigslist as well. I'm guessing there will be alot outside of the stadium as well. By the way. The entire upper deck is bleachers.

I will likely go...being that it is in my backyard.

In 1999 the Titans came to Indy for a playoff game. Literally, I kid you not, 50% of the stadium was Titans fans. Colts lost and Bill Polian went nuts in the post game press conference saying Colts season ticket holders cost them the game by selling away home field advantage.

There are like 750 auctions on ebay. A bazillion listings on stubhub. Scalping is legal in Indiana. There will be tons of brokers on the streets outside the Dome on game day. Tickets are readily available. Let's take away home field advantage again.

The game is on a Saturday. It's 484 miles door to door straight down I-70 from Arrowhead to RCA Dome. It only holds 55k. Not a bad seat in the house. What more could you want? Let's bring the Arrowhead atmosphere to Indy and show Colts fan what amatuers they are.

If anyone needs info on the area email me at ChiefsFanInIndy@aol.com

Going on what this says.....but I'm going to do more research to confirm...

http://www.tickco.com/Map/listTickets.aspx?pid=449827&cat=326

Tip: Upper level seating is bleacher style. This means the upper level seating is made up of long benches. Although they do include a seat-back, they do not include armrests. They are not contoured and there is no padding, so it's a good idea to bring along your own seat cushion if you have one available.

Who can deny this?
Any stadium built to serve banquets is bound to be loud.

The RCA Dome was not built primarily for football, but for conventions and trade shows. Other than being the home of the Colts, the RCA Dome hosts concerts, large banquets, religious assemblies, and various sporting events ...

If you are attending the game this weekend, please post your seat locations, and how many you will have in your party!

I will be sitting in Section 302 Row 26 ( 2)

We are putting together a Chiefs Fans Rally point at New York Street and Capitiol Streets, where there are lots of parking areas for Tailgating needs. If you park in a parking garage they will not allow any cookers whats so ever!
The parking fees at New York and Capitol should be $10 to park ( * been $10 all season). Here is a map of the parking area.
http://www.indydt.com/dtmap.html

For those fans who are still on the fence about attending, tickets are very reasonable, its kinda the opposite of prices, they are going for under face value to just above face value. Its very amazing that the tickets have not soared out of hand!

We'll definately swing by the rally point. My wife is a VP for a printing company, I'm trying to find a clean file of the LH sticker the guys are wearing on the back of the helmets. If I can find a good file, my wife is going to have the production guys print a bunch of round LH memorial stickers, and I'll have them for any Chiefs fan who wants one.

I can't believe how easy it is to come by tickets for this game! Are Colts fans this apathetic about getting into the playoffs?

well, kinda.

for a large portion of the fans, it's gotten tiring to keep making the playoffs but with no payoff.

on top of that, this is legitimately the worst colts team in the last 4 years, so the expectations aren't as high.

another factor...scalping is 100% legal in indiana, so a lot of people (especially local ticket brokers) buy tickets in large amounts so they can resell them. it sucks, but that means there are a lot of transitional tickets out there to be had.

This was from GM Bill Polian's show this week...

http://www.colts.com/sub.cfm?page=article7&news_id=4490

Q: Shouldnít the fans not do the wave in the RCA Dome when the Colts are on offense?

A: I couldnít agree more. Now, Sunday was the first time Iíve seen it when we had the ball in quite some time. I suspect that that may be because we had some fans there who are not used to being there. Season-ticket holders who did not decide to go to the game gave their tickets to other people who wanted to see the Colts and thatís great. As a result, we had some people who were new and decided to do the wave when were on offense It isnít a good thing. It hurts the offense. And if you must do it, do it when the other team is on offense, not when weíre on offense. Sunday is a perfect example of why itís not a good idea to do it. Miami was disguising the kind of coverage they were going to be in. They were trying as best they could to disguise their blitzes. They were coming very late, showing the blitzes very late. (Colts quarterback) Peyton (Manning) was able to pick it up, but he had to use voice signals to alert the receivers that he knew a blitz was coming. If those voice signals couldnít get communicated because people were doing a wave, youíre helping the visiting team. Why would you want to do that? No wave is worth that. Thatís the reason those of us who share that mindset get crazy about it. Most of all, donít do it when weíre on offense. It doesnít help.

its 2 blocks north of the stadium, and if rains, we have already thought about that also, by moving everyone to the BW3's which is a block a half from the stadium!

I'm pretty lucky with the wife myself.

$1500 for Chiefs tickets, plus travel expenses from STL.

We went to the Arizona road game,

I spent a weekend at ND.

Went to both Games 4 and 5 of the World Series.

Depends on how far south.... Near south side is the equivalent of going east of Troost in KC... Airport is fairly convenient, hop on I70 and go east about 10 mins.

There are still about 2-1/2 pages of ticket listings on eBay's "Buy It Now" selection. So there are still several hundred tickets left if you include the auction side. Here are 4 tickets in the upper deck at the 40 for $450. Not bad.

My best time from KC to Indy is 6.25 hours, now that is haulin across all three states.....
To allow for enough time count on the trip taking 8 hours. In case of road construction, accidents , etc....
Don't forget that you lose a hour at the Illinois/Indiana border!

Illinois are pretty cool just watch out for these areas milemarker (IL border from MO to past the first rest area), then again around mm 43 and then around Effingham by the scale you will see some troopers working, on the east side of Effingham around mm 123- 148

INDIANA - from about the mm 3 to 25, then i cant recall the mm (30-?), but you will know of this hill you go down it and just as you start up the hill there is a turn around that is hidden and they always sit there....after that mm 39-41, mm 66 thru INDY.

When you are in Illinois if you start seeing them, back it down a few or what i do is get into a convoy and move out!
