View Full Version : Playoff Predictions: Wild Card Round
Everyone post your predictions for this weeks upcoming games.
Seahawks 34 Cowboys 20
Experienced Seahawk team should have no trouble beating Dallas at home with the help of the "12th man."
Eagles 24 Giants 0
I see the Giants and Eli Choking once again in the playoffs.
Patriots 17 Jets 13
I see this as being an extremely close game being determined by whoever has the ball last. The Jets already beat the Patriots in Foxboro this year, and with the new-born rivalry of Belichick and Mangini, it should be a very fun game to watch.
Chiefs 34 Colts 31
I see this one being close the entire game, and possibly going into overtime. Larry Johnson will run well against the Colts Defense while Peyton Manning will find Harrison and crew all day.
I believe both of these AFC games are going to be fun to watch, while the NFC games will bore me to sleep.
Hey I have an idea, every week make your predictions and then at the end I will tabulate everyones predictions and whoever has the most correct is the winner.
What do we win?
How about some positive Rep??? Or maybe if you win you can rub it in the faces of everyone else until next year, that is what sports talk is for correct?

Oh. I was hoping for something along the lines of 350 dollars.
Pride is just as good though.
Wow I guess I'm the only one who makes predictions.

One good thing: Manning makes Trent Green look like Michael Vick. Dude is about as "statue" as you can possibly be for a QB.

As much as I dislike Gunt, and think he might be the single most overrated coordinator in NFL history, the one guy he seems able to game plan for is Manningina.

I'll throw my 2 cents worth into the ring!
Seahawks 20 Cowboys 10
Neither team is really strong offensively - look for Goldenboy Romo to choke under the pressure of the playoffs, and the 12th man in Seattle to play a big part.
Eagles 21 Giants 10
Garcia still has a little fight in him, and Philly is finally learning how to use Westbrook. Too bad Tiki will go out this way.
Patriots 28 Jets 14
Pennington is no match for Brady, and Martin's getting old. Gotta go with the experience here.
Chiefs 35 Colts 21
Peyton can't do a thing while he's sitting on the bench, and with LJ and MB running the ball, he'll be doing a LOT of that in this game. This is one game where the run-run-run/pass offense might be just what's needed to win.

LJ has a career day against the Dolts...
Chiefs 35 Colts 28 - Colts punt at least once, we don't.
Dallas 16, Seattle 24
Only because of Alexander running wild. I can see a TO blowup at the end of this game. He'll say something stupid to the cameras and we'll all have a turn at laughing at him again.
NY Giants 3, Philadelphia 30
I agree with many on this thread. The Giants are not a good team at all. Garcia has the Eagles playing just plain smart football. Solid teams beat good teams in the playoffs. Solid teams CRUSH shitty teams in the playoffs.
NY Jets 13, New England 20
Bellichek is the master of gameplanning, especially in the playoffs. Mangini is a n00b. The Jets have played nothing but weak teams in the later part of the season. They are, as we in the biz call, "soft bitches."
Kansas City 40, Indianapolis 37
This is a stretch. Keep in mind, this prediction is based on Gunther sending blitzers constantly, and never letting up on Peyton once in the game. Also, Solari can't be a douche with the playcalling. Just because the Colts suck at stopping the run, doesn't mean we shouldn't work Gonzalez and Kennison into the gameplan just to keep things off-balance for the Colts D. Also, this sounds like the kind of game to work in some checkdowns out of the backfield into the gameplan. Career day for Kris Wilson, anyone? If our gameplanning is anything but what I just described, then this will be a loss for us. That's my prediction, anyway.

I see our pass D getting exposed...look what a 3rd stringer did yesterday.
1. For the first 3 series, that guy looked all world, 3rd string or no.
2. After that, our D did something to bring him back to earth.
All in all, not bad considering the only video on the guy is in some converted soccer stadium somewhere in Europe.

I agree with all of that except the Seahawks game. I think the Cowboys will come in there fired up, strike fast and never let up. Even though they've lost their last 2 games embarrassingly. But I do believe the Chiefs are going to run over the Colts.

In the other three games, the Pats and Eagles win like they're supposed to, and the Cowboys simply outplay Seattle like the better team they are.
I don't expect either the Chiefs or Indy to score 30, because the Chiefs will do everything they can to grind out the clock and Indy has flubbed a few too many times this year for me to be certain they'll put up huge numbers.
The Chiefs need to do more than keep this game close. They need to be a score up on Indy when the two minute warning hits, because Peyton will not be stopped in the last two minutes, and we don't want to be behind or tied when that occurs.
Chiefs 27. Colts 26.
Ty Law seals the game in some manner. Call me Jason Whitlock, but that's what I feel.

We need to take a page from what the Steelers did to the Colts last year, same with the Chargers. They got after Manning constantly, and didn't let up, even though their secondaries weren't that good, they lived by the blitz.
We must do the same. Defense is what's going to win this game.

Samething with the offense, BTW. We need to mix it up, not just run it every down. Keep any defense, whether they are weak or strong, on their heals is like money in the bank for the offense.
Everyone make sure to get your picks in, I heard somebody flooded the forum today so I wanted to make sure everyone got a shot at seeing this.

I could see any of the games go the other way. Looking at them I see the Colts throwing to a lead and taking away the run. The Pats are the Pats and the Jets are well... the Jets. I am still not sold on Garcia and look for him to fall to earth at some point. The Seahawks will find a way to blow this one.
