The end of this year has been something else. Pops battling cancer. He has been out of that major surgery for only 30 days. Already doing over 30 minutes on the treadmill and started lifting weights for a week now. Still not out of the woods as he has a very small amount at this point but the speed of his recovery has been exceeded everyone's expectations. This has been the greatest gift of the season. Christmas was fantastic, always good to see family and friends. Upon returning home we found out lil momma is pregnant so I may be a father this year. This news was huge for the parents of both families neither expected to ever have grandchildren with sis in Iraq and all. I swear they are on cloud 9 right now. Follow that up with the Chiefs making the playoffs :) and it's all good. I still can't believe the 49ers pulled off that win in Pile High. I hope everyone else's was awesome as well. This should be a huge year for me and my family. :)

Great news all around, buddy. It's funny how relationships, health, and being with those you love matter more than anything as you get older. I could give a flyin' flip about receiving material stuff nowadays- I'm just happy being with my family and seeing my wife and kids content.

Of course a 42" Plasma and Bose home theater system would've been nice.

Quite frankly the presents thing is a giant pain in the ass. I couldn't find anything for pops. If there is anything he wants he just buys it. lil momma brought my US Open medal to show my parents. I could tell pops thought it was cool so I just gave him that. Pops present to us every year is taking the family to the coast for a week for our family reunion. It's the coolest present of all. The older I get the more I appreciate family. Thank god I was given a good one.

Now I'll have to listen to everyone talk about the pitbull/baby shit. Oh well it's not like I have a lot of people coming over anyway.

Speaking of which, I opened my door to go to work today. I don't have a window at my front door. When I open it up there are two huskies off leash right at my front door with no owners in sight. My dog was at my feet and I couldn't grab him fast enough. Friggen on like donkey kong. I live right across the street from a school and fortunately they are still all off. There would have people/cops/kids and all that shit everywhere. That's the last thing I need to deal with. Lucky on that count too. I can just see right now how this would have been my fault.
