...from our soul-crushing, heart-breaking, ass-sucking team's latest epic disaster?

Did you drink yourself into oblivion? Clean out the garage? Kick your dog? Jog 20 miles? Beat a Colts fan to death with a shovel? Bury yourself in a good book? Or are you so masochistic at this point that you've actually learned to enjoy the pain?

Personally, I bought myself a new 20" widescreen computer monitor and lost myself in Neverwinter Nights.

I didn't.

I was prepared. I knew my bad girlfriend was visiting friends in Indy and that they were going to the male strippers. It was very likely she was coming home with d!ckbreath.

I fought off my frustration and knew it was over when green started the 2nd half. Herman lied, the team looked like ass, and in my heart, I knew this team didn't belong in the post season.

I read the "blues clues peekaboo" "10 little ladybugs" and "my daddy" books to my daughter....again.

Yep pretty much. I felt that the season was a waste. Like most of the Jets last 5 years. So I was all excited bout KU b-ball and the win yesterday helped.

I have come to the realization that the Chiefs are serious about one thing. Milking as much money out of the Real KC fans as they can...

So it doenst hurt as bad anymore..

Hiring Herm really put a dampner on my hopes and excitement for the Chiefs and there immediate future.

My wife's friend came in at the end of the 3rd and started going on about how stupid I was for watching the game and how it was over and the Chief's were going to lose, etc, etc.

I (like many others here) wasn't in the best of moods at that point so my exact response was: "Shut your f*****g mouth about it or I'll kick you in the snatch."

so she shut up and didn't talk to me until it was over and I felt much better.

NICE, I love NWN!

to answer the question though, I didn't do anything because I didn't think we "deserved" to be there anyway,a nd what could I do? I knew Eddie and Samie wouldn't get open, and I just assumed that we had no plan other then to run, since our OC had never called a play before this year.

Seriously, I was over the game an hour or so after the final whistle.

My meltdown moment came on the missed FG. What's funny is that when Lin Tynes shanked that gimme I let loose with a Dresden of F-bombs, screaming at the top of my lungs for probably 20 seconds -- and then remembered that there was a children's birthday party going on in the backyard next door, and there was nothing more than my screen door to filter the outburst.

As I was closing the sliding glass door, I was thinking: Either they think I'm beating my wife, or they think I'm a drunken, profane jerk. Or both.

When my wife went over to collect our young'un, I asked her to please apologize to the neighbors for me. She did, but she said the hostess just stared at her blankly and said "we didn't hear anything with all the noise from the kids." I hope she was telling the truth and not just being polite.

The missed FG was my meltdown moment as well. I threw my drink (1/4 full diet pop from Wendy's) at the door.

The good thing about diet pop is that it doesn't get sticky when it dries. Still, that was quite a mess to clean up.

I accepted our fate after the second pick. After the game I went out side with my brother to smoke the "victory" cigars I had bought. I spent the rest of the night in my room watching DVDs and avoiding this place. I actually took it pretty well, which surprises me. But I didn't watch a single snap of football yesterday, I don't even know how the games turned out. I guess I'll suck it up and watch the NC game tonight.

Drank alot of beer, tried to tell myself it's just a game, tried really hard.

Got on the treadmill in my underwear and ran for 20 mins. (I know the visual is bad, and you haven't even ever seen me) It's hard to do piss drunk.

Watched KU have pretty good game, didn't see the end, but surly they won. I'm more of an MU fan, but the hawks are entertaining, and the rush connection helps.

I finally got on Chiefsplanet and vented with others, but it's not enough. I'm at work now and don't feel like doing anything. I didn't even watch the other games.

My step dad called to rub it in my face, but since he's a donkey fan I was able to throw a little back at him, still not enough.

I have to do something and soon to get the rest of this out of my system.

any suggestions? Where's thepascalplaze at, I need someone to abuse.

I cursed enough at the missed FG, the wife growled at me, and my response got myself in trouble and the child removed from the room.

It wasn't long after that, that I accepted what I knew was going to happen, reminded myself of what I'd decided after the Cleveland game, watched the rest of the game in frustration, intermingled by short lived hope......

and then read to the kid.

that was better use of my time than spending alot of time here, getting even more pissed off.

I didn't meltdown at the botched kick, I half expected it. Tynes is money on the long distance clutch kicks, but has had a few misses on the easy kicks. I was horrified at what I saw, but surprised.

The only thing I threw was my hat at the floor as hard as I could towards the end. I think it might have been the second pick, screaming about the lack of protectection Green was getting.

I don't particularly think that Huard would have done any better (well, maybe a little) but I would have liked to see him get a chance. The game was obviously gone with Trent in there. Herm had his chance to show me that he really did want to win the game...

Oh, and as far as venting - I didn't really. I was hoping for a good performance but not really expecting a win. I was embarassed by our offense but that was kind of offset by the way our D played.

Luckily I kept my attitude going in that this was not a play-off team and had my expectations very low,it seriously helped in feeling no pain about the loss but it didn't stop me from shouting at the tv numerous times and unleashing a wrath on Herm for throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the Jags and yet making me sit through this crap.

I was at a party with 15 others and I was drinking 7 & 7 so by the 4th quarter my tirades were fairly frequent.I spent the rest of the evening and early morning going to a second party and getting absolutely shitfaced. The only redeeming thing about this weekend is that my play-off fantasy teams did rather well seeing I avoided all Chiefs players except LJ.

I'm also stoked about next weekend,it may not be KC football but it's football and I'm going to catch every last minute I can before that long off season kicks in.

I was more than halfway expecting the results so I remained surprisingly mellow. I had to work Saturday so I set the DVD to record the game since I knew I would get home about half-way through it. I walked in, heard the announcer say that the Chiefs had 21 TOTAL yards while the Colts had 22 first downs - went in the bedroom, turned off the recorder, and calmly sat through the rest of the slaughter.

Remember the pass Dante dropped, about a 5 yarder that would have been a first down assuming if he'd caught it he wouldn't have turned around and run toward his own end zone?

That was the moment where I lost it. It was like the Christmas Story scene where the kid starts beating up the bully and the f-bombs are flowing forth. That was me. When that ball just sort of bounced off Dante it all came out.....MFing, CSing, whore bitch sonofapig bastard!!!!! etc, etc.

After that I calmed down a bit, I was resigned to the inevitable outcome. Sure, there were a few moments of false hope but deep down I knew it was over. So I made a Bloody Mary and eventually the anger just melted away to sadness.

If you're interested, he is the recipe for a C***S***ing, M*****F***ing Whore Bloody Mary.

1/2 lemon
Celery salt

Snap-e-Tom spicy tomato juice

Vodka

Fill 20 oz glass about 3/4 with ice. Squeeze in juice of 1/2 lemon. Season with celery salt, worcestershire and tabasco, to taste. Pour in about 1/3 each vodka, tomato and clamato. Mix well with a larger glass or shaker cup.

Garnish with celery or throw at TV, to taste. Enjoy!!

Sad to say, this actually is the way I felt. I'm so used to the Chiefs playing like the Keystone Cops when something is on the line that it didn't bother me at all. I'm used to it by now and fully expect them to screw up (and that's sad - I have no expectations of the Chiefs actually accomplishing anything until the entire organization is gutted)

I have heard that George Brett was prone to attacking toilets and locker room lavatories when shit like Chiefs vs Browns / Chiefs vs Colts type events transpired in his baseball life.
