The OL will not get completely fixed overnight. Putting Trent back there another year will only cost us more than help. Get some fresh legs back there along with a fresh arm.

It's a good thing we have 2 of them awaiting an opportunity.

Byron Leftwich will probably be available this offseason. He has a rocket for an arm but is immobile and injury prone. I'd probably rather give Croyle a shot.

I love that clip.

A 52 yard frozen rope right on the money......

And he's got more where that came from.

I saw him unleash one to Webb in TC that travelled close to 65 in the air. Spot on.

Did you see that O-line? Are they in the NFL? We could use an o-line like that. Wouldn't that be nice?

After 18 years of waiting, it's time to find out. Go 4-12, 5-11. Let the big money guys go. We'll eat the cap hit (like other franchises have done) and begin a true rebuild.

It's the only way.

Great vid.

I know some may neg rep me but I wanted to see Croyle in the playoff game.

I wanted him to move the pocket and throw deep for a TD.

I wanted to see the gleam in all your eyes after the marvelous feat.

If he has potential and talent to be successful in this league, than why wait, he and printers can battle for 1st and 2nd spot (printers can run, which is good with our O line.

how about QB by Committee???

I hate myself.

Did you read the thread header?

Or the opening line of the starter?

"The OL will not get completely fixed overnight."

The thread starter was asking for a "young strong QB with a rifle arm."

As Phobia simply put it, we have two waiting for an opportunity. One of them is Croyle.

There are plenty of threads bitching about the OL play, shouldn't be hard to find one.....

Huard is gone. Bring Trent back for one more year with Croyle as backup. With our current situation on the O-line, Croyle will get his chance to start.

The rest of the AFC West has gone to new QBs, so why not? Let's try having a QB under the age of 30 for once. Sign LJ to a nice long contract and focus on the O-line and D-line on draft day. Find quality WR through free agency and take a hit in the record department for a year for a chance at the Super Bowl later. I'm for it.

Croyle needs another year to learn. Keep Green for one more year, it would be the best in all parties involved.

What did he look like when the play went to s**t? When the O-line broke down? When the RB missed the block? The WR "took the play off"?

I'm ready for a rebuild. Start with a young QB. If it's Croyle, fine, but don't wait, we already lost one year from his contract. Let's see if he can play in the NFL. If not, cut him and let's try again.

Right, then we can watch him get his legs broken due to Hermit's terrible play calling.

It doesn't matter how far he can throw it if the WR's don't catch it and the OL can't block long enough for the play to develope......

With our OL, dink and dunk is all we can get from them.....That's just not going to cut it.

Cutler my ass, this guys arm is every bit as good.

One of the earlier plays in this clip shows Brody whip a 45-50 yard strike falling off his back foot.

DAMN RIGHT! Green has been great but hius play was really bad this season and started the first game. We don't need to find this out next season when we know his skills are gone now.

ah, yes elvis, made the cover of sportsline, or sportsnews? or something, man that was a long time ago. Touted as a savior and going to have a great year, gee, we are idiots aren't we.

I love Green, but the curtain is coming down and I just heard the fat lady clear her throat. If he stays on one more year, we have to seriously consider letting Brodie take the reigns, at least mid season, to know what we have in him.

If we draft a QB fairly high, than we will really know how the mang. team feels about him.

The Def already knows what your up to, so yeah a good arm'd QB does kinda come in handy.

So what we need is a big strong arm to throw the deep routes that our OL will most likely not allow? Or do we need someone who can throw that 5 - 8 yard passes harder?

The problem is the team has to go 4-12 before they can really begin to rebuild. This means the first year is spent tearing the team apart then it takes at least 3 years without draft mistakes to build the team back.

I don't want to watch this team bottom dwell for 4 years with the only hope if CP has 3 really good drafts in a row the team could make the playoffs again.

Jeff George was very talented. It was his head and attitude that got in his way. Croyle, by all accounts, has great attitude. If he is physically as talented as George we might have something here.
