But Huard's play showed me 2 things this year, 1)He played mistake free football. 2)The team was winning and was in a rhythm with him in there. The team chemistry was at it's finest.

*He brought those 2 things to the table as our QB. When I think of those 2 things, the right decision was to leave him in there.

I love how people keep saying we were in a rythym with Huard. If we were in such a frigging rythym then why did we bomb so bad in Miami? Huard sure as hell didn't look good in that game. If he had gone to Miami and played halfway worth a damn maybe we wouldn't be having this discussion. Maybe we would have left him in. But no. He gets one game with the pressure of another QB coming in behind him and he pissed down his leg. Huard is not the second coming of Christ some of you chuckleheads make him out to be. Huard is not the answer, Green is not the answer. The answer is the Chiefs need to either throw Brodie in the fire, or get another QB. It's time to rebuild, and that's not with 30-something QBs.

Still, you have to take that chance in the playoffs, IMO.

The game would've changed, maybe not for the better, but you have to give the team that chance...especially when the week before Huard relieves Green and drives down for the score.

The perplexing thing is the wr's dropping balls in Indy, but making circus cathces with Huard.

Ditto Pittsburgh. Bullshit about giving rep for wanting to keep Huard in at the time. Hindsight is 20/20. At the time, most of us were expecting Green to come back and play at or near the level he was before the injury. It was only in the following weeks that it became obvious he was not the same. I still maintain that Huard is not the answer for this team. He did real well against shitty defenses, with the exception of San Diego. I'm not saying Green is the answer either. It's time to look to the future at QB.

I thought more about the game at work today and got all pissed off again. I just can't get over this game. We're not talking about a bad offensive performance, we are talking about a complete abortion of any kind of a gameplan. Absolutely unacceptable to play that bad on offense. One year removed from the #1 offense.

I was fully against Green coming back and getting his old job back given what Huard had been able to do, but more importantly my main concern was that Green would not be able to come back a 100% b/c of the injury. It would not have been in the best interest of the team to put him back in as a starter. The loyalty issue should not have played such a factor in making the decision. It was the wrong call, but I have to say that ultimately we would have failed in the end no matter what given the HC's and OC's lack of competence in running a dynamic O.

Miami played great and our team lay-ed a turd that week. Miami played great for several more weeks after that game. The coaches and management that have controlled this franchise have never been or will be creative and or innovative. They have been stubborn to a fault and to the detriment of this team. Green didnt play his best, but damn when you hit your receivers in their hands and between the numbers what else more can you do. His one interception, Kennison was open but he got nailed from the front that caused the under throw.

Now you Huard cock suckers, what about the drive in the 3rd quarter where we marched down the field and Green was 9 for 9.

You just want to find a scapegoat and Green is an easy target even though the offensive line and receivers should be the ones thrown under the bus and ran over and then back it back up and do it again.

Green was 9 for 9? That's spectacular. Let's extend his contract. What time is he playing this weekend?

True but the fact remains that Huard did much better with the same cast.

Huard, he is a UFA.

Good! If you folks aren't gonna resign him - I guess we'll take him! Gannon worked out pretty good for us, set some records, won the AFC.... I hope Huard will be OK for us...!

Huard did a good job..Green should have stayed out the rest of the season and got back 100%....

He had ONE good drive against a POROUS defense.

COOL.

That somehow makes up for his three turnovers and the fact we had NO FIRST DOWNS for 42 FRIGGIN' minutes...

hahahaha...

Green played ONE good game, four Fantastic Years, 2 Pro Bowls, Second only to Manning, HE STILL MADE ERRORS that cost us.

Huard played ONE bad game and TWO average games, and FIVE fantastic games. HE IS STILL A BACKUP QB.

Hootie, I FYP for ya.....

Hootie already summed up my answer. Im laughing too hard watching Trent Unitas lead the offense to even get upset tonight.

You are aligning yourself with hootie now?

Have you considered that Trent hadn't fully recovered and our o-line AND playcalling sucks? Have you?

Your football opinions anre coming off like buceyedpea's :shake:

I also happen to agree with this; it isn't that Trent sucks, because he doesn't- Huard didn't do so well against top Defenses either (to this day I haven't read any argument here as to why that might have been, in support of Huard that is) it is because of that nasty injury

Damn there are some crotchety bastards here on Chiefsplanet. Won't even admit they were wrong. Just keep on spinning it how you guys want. This leads me to believe that a good amount of Chiefs fans wont open up their eyes and clean house from top to bottom. No wonder Carl has been around for 17 years. Majority of Chief fans put up with his sh*t and believe the smoke and mirrors. Sad.

Just because you think they are wrong, doesn't make it so, dude

It's quite apparent I know what I'm talking about, and most everyone else here does not.

Trent was at his best in years past when he had 15 seconds to sit in the pocket, make a sandwich, return a missed call, paint his nails...and then oh, receiver open...

Doesn't have that luxury anymore.

Teams COULDN'T blitz us before, but now that Roaf was gone and our offense was predictable, they blitzed like crazy, and Trent Green is probably one of the worst QB's in the league against the blitz.

About 2 months back only a few Huard supporters stood up to the Green click here on chiefsplanet. Hootie, GoChiefs, etc. I think everyone whom swore Green was Da Man needs to give these guys some rep for their football knowledge. You Green supporters know who you are Milkman....................Come on. LOL

I just now opened this thread and saw this shit.

For the record, I already told Hootie he was right about staying with Huard, although for a different reason.

And for the record, just who the **** are you?

I'm just a chief fan whom talks on the planet like you. Difference between me and you is that I own up if it need be. You on the other hand constantly hijack posters threads and speeww your bullsh*t how you know all the right chief moves. Let me guess now you'll reply with STFU NOOB! BOOM!

PS: Put me on ignore until you are ready to apologize milkman ROFL

First, I already talked with Hootie about this, as I said earlier.

Second, I actually only use the "n00b" moniker in a mildly humrous manner, so I won't be calling you that.

And last,I also have never put anyone on ignore, and I won't be starting with someone as irrelevent as you.
