I watched Brownback on Stephanopolous this morning and he had some good things to say. I've said it before in other threads, but even though I disagree with his politics, he is admirably consistent.
I thought the most interesting part of the interview was when he talked about Iraq. There was a clip of Brownback a month ago and he supported the surge, but now he's against it. When asked why, he said the thing that changed his mind was his recent trip to Iraq. He said the American military leaders he met with and the Iraqis did not tell him they wanted more troops. Kind of makes you wonder who Bush was referencing when he said his plan is what the Iraqis told him they want.
