Being given good coaching and a good game plan every week tends to make players look pretty good. Not something we can expect here.

Christ, BB made a undrafted rookie from LSU and a slow footed old WR look solid at CB the last few years. Our coaching would make All Pro CB's look average.

That's true, but both Samuel and Hobbs made some outstanding plays that we haven't seen from our corners in 10 years.

The reason we can't find them is because we can't coach them.

No doubt, how many pass deflections did they have??? a gajillion???

Someone said a few days ago that Samuel was a FA, i say make that deal happen, he's as good as i've seen in awhile at breaking up attempts.

LOL.......If we signed Samuel we'd have the highest paid secondary in the NFL, he will get a huge deal, Surtain like.

Oh yeah their front 7 had a lot to do with them getting their hand in the way of the ball at the last second without committing pass interferance.

The play of those guys shows me how important technique and intelligence is on defense. Those guys are smart, and they are ball players. They are always in the right position.

No I wasn't saying we should go get them. I was making a point on why we suck at drafting during the King Carl era. We have found Jared Allen and a few other non heralded players in 18 years of draft.

We really need a DT. And we have spent high draft picks on several occasions to get one.

I'm not arguing with ya. That's why they're a championship organization and we're below average.

They draft well and play young guys thus saving them $$$.

We just have to hope things get better but we can't ignore the fact that the 1 constant during this era of mediocrity is Carl Peterson.

And it probably won't change until he's gone.

Why can't we find these guys? Because our GM and scouting staff sucks. It's that simple.
