This morning as I was getting ready for work and watching GMA (Good Morning America) I came to this dark conclusion:
We're F*ked.
We are. We might as well admit it. We're f*ked.
That Nazi Diane Sawyer was gooing all over while talking to Hilary Clinton who as everyone knows has just announced she is running for president. I also saw that they were going to interview Ombama later this week.
We're f*ked. We have to be.
I mean, is this all the Dems could muster to offer up for president? Jesus Tapdancing Christ. I know the nation is no longer in favor of Bush with what he (we) has done about the Iraq issue. So they will vote the other side of the fence in the next election. But god man, our choices are Hillary or some muslium?
We're f*ked. Just wanted to let you all know it.
Thanks, and please continue with your day.

Of course she wouldn't say anything negative about Obama, she's going to want him as her VP canidate.

No candidate is perfect, there is always something to complain about but this Muslim crap is beyond old. Yeah, i'm already getting sick of the whole Obama "Hussein" thing too, its people grasping at straws to find something to hate about the guy.
Blindly despising the guy over his name is a JOKE & even if he was Muslim i'm certainly not prepared to hate him just because of it.
Despite my often rash takes on that religion, i fully realize that not all of them hate us.

I think Obama is a great presidential candidate. I think he's probably the best candidate since Bill Clinton in terms of strength of party offering. I think the Republicans are in a lot of trouble this year in terms of their candidates. They have a lot of the same ole, same ole that they've been recycling for years, and few fresh prospects to energize a base.
I think the Republicans are going to face a challenger from a third party this year to boot, but that's just speculation based on how splintered the party is right now. But the way I'm reading things, the Democrats are the AFC right now, and the Republicans are the NFC... And the AFC Championship game is the real Superbowl.

I'm saying that calling him a racist because he used Barack's middle name doesn't make a him a racist. It also casts a very negative light on you for making such a claim. Calling someone a racist isn't like accusing them of smelling or that their mother wears combat boots, it's something serious (or should be). Much like my position in the Fascist thread, people over-use the word just to cast someone in a negative light not because it really applies. Maybe KCJohnny really is, I don't know him personally, its hard to say but the jump from what he typed to putting him in the same category with David Duke is not only illogical, it's malicious. We're going to get a bunch of people using Barack's name against him between now and the time this is over, save the label-making for those who really deserve it.
I'd also question your point that it "should not be justified". What about every journalist who might use Barack's full name? Racists? Are they justified using it? I'm sure his mother used it once or twice. Racist? Is she justified? What about the inevitable articles about how his middle name might be a problem, are they racist? It's going to be mentioned many times and I'll agree it shouldn't be an issue. There's nothing to "justify" here because that's Barack's name. Just because you take issue with it being used doesn't make it wrong. Send him an email and see what he thinks, I would think Barack is the only one who's opinion matters on this.

Seriously.... you back up that statement.
You won't because you can't. Not only have I never said such things, but I don't even believe it.
There may be grounds to impeach the guy. Or even put him in jail. But You are the only one here talking about killing the guy.
You should be ashamed of yourself. Stevie too.
You've sunk to the lowest level possible in the discussion like this. You are making up completely baseless lies. Absolute and total lies.
Hell, I don't even support the death penalty.
The best thing you can do is act like a man and apologize for lying about this.
What a pathetically embarassing display.
:shake:
Oh...and for reading comprehension "ALL BUT" implies you've implied it without saying it directly. Your hate for the guy is well documented.
A simple search of DC with perameters of "jaz" using the word "Bush" reveals 453 threads, not including the archives.

Knock yourself out champ....I don't have the kind of time to spend on one person.
Just admit you are completely lying... have no way to back up your claiims... and that you are "all but" a tool for trying to claim that you "don't have the kind of time" needed to back up your claims.

It's why Powell didn't run. That man could have easily been the first black president.

casting someone in a negative light is something most here have engaged in...including yourself...interesting how it doesn't bother you that people take Bush's middle name and use it against him.
Not denying I have cast someone in a negative light. But how do you cast Bush in a negative light by using the name Walker?

I work with a doctor in st. louis, she falls all over herself about Claire here in mo now, and Obama in IL, I'll say that several occasions I've wanted to choke her because of this gross infatuation.
However, being exposed more to Obama, I done some research for her, and I will say, if we have to have a democrat for the next go around, he's a better choice than Kerry or Hillary, Hands down.
he seems to have some strong chartacter traits, similar to Powell, who I would have supported, I hold him in high regard.

His DUI's came before they were socially condemned to the extent that they are today. That's not to say that it's OK, just that it was a different time. Almost as far back as Hussein Obama's madrassa days. :p
Then again, what do you have to do to get a DUI in the middle of nowhere Wyoming in the early 1960's? It's not like you could even hit anyone if you wanted to.

Yes, but you don't seem to understand the dynamics of what it is that you talk about. For instance, the fact that you think a governor from New Mexico has a shot over a media darling from New York is pretty revealing of what you understand about the political dynamic.
You have a debilitating disease that everyone who has been on this board for any amount of time is well aware of. It's sort of an inside joke. Everyone on this board knows that you decide something first, and then argue it to the blandest semantics next, whether what you are talking about makes rational sense or not. It's not just a political phenomenon, as it's manifested itself profoundly in your football discussions.
Bill Richardson, while a fine gentleman, has no shot at the presidency, and probably never will.

Obama has charisma, he can (at this point) still claim "outsider" status, he seems pretty centrist, and the media loves him. He's also saying the right things--things people want to hear. He also seems like a genuinely nice guy who happens to be very bright.
However, electability, based in part on the issues you mentioned, is a question mark. If for no other reason than the persistent subtle and/or latent racism of about 20-30% of Americans....:shake:
That probabably qualifies him to be......Vice President.
So, yeah, you are probably right. Deep down though, I hope I'm wrong.

I think some of Obama's negatives won't show up in "polling"....because it's based on racism, and people are rightly ashamed to admit that publicly--even in a poll. I hope I'm wrong because that would be dissappointing to me.
I like what I've seen so far but I need to see more. His primary "performances" and specific proposals will need to be evaluated.

I'm not sure how much of his not winning will be race and how much would be the fact that he's green as hell. Charisma can carry someone far especially if they want to run against Clinton but he has very little concrete record to fall back on. His lack of experience I think will hurt more than anything, Clinton's already reminding people about her previous stint as president. The good parts, kinda, anyway.

It's elementary, really....my dear Watson. ;)
It's not based on his single post, but the body of his "work"...specifically, his reluctant yet unmistakable penchant for youthful idealism....which belies the inner maturity, pragmatism, and realism which Zach, in more candid moments, has been known to demonstrate.
It's an inner-battle in which The Force will, I am confident, ultimately prevail. (FTR, you appear to be playing the role of Darth Vader in this drama....heh. We eagerly await your "return.")
