ESPN is reporting that the Cowboys have interest in Former Bears LB Mike Singletary to possibly become thier next head coach. He'll interview today.

What do you all think of that possibility?

I imagine if anyone could handle T.O. it would be him. I'd actually love to be a fly on the wall when Singletary comes down on him for his usual antics. Could be priceless.

What coach’n experience does’e have?
I like the idea, but what makes him a better HC prospect than, say, a dozen other coordinators out there.

Oh yeah !!! If this happens I don't think TO will be around much longer in Big D.

I have a feeling TO won't be back anyway.

Well it is year 2 for him in Dallas. This is when all Hell breaks loose with him.

I heard they were favoring Norv Turner, but I would take Singletary over Turner in a heartbeat.

I'd take Norv Turner as OC.

He's great in that role, but nothing more then that.

Dallas is satisfying the minority interview quota.

Singletary's background is the 4-3. Wade Phillips is a much better option.

I'm betting the job is Norv's.

The word on the street in Dallas is something like this...

They have hired Jason Garrett for an 'undisclosed' position for the time being. Could he be the OC... the HC? Nobody knows. They really like Norv Turner and the 'rumor' is that when asked about whom he would hire to run the defense, Norv said "Singletary". Part of the 'rumor' was the feedback wasn't all that great, so Norv flew back to Cali and essentially said "interview Singletary and get back to me."

Again, this is all stuff I've heard from local radio.

The consensus appears to be that Turner will be the next head coach, Singletary has "interviewed" for the gig, but it's more of a chance to let Jerry get a feel for how he might run the defense. Likely to be Turner as the HC - Garrett as the OC and Singletary as the DC.

Uh, he played in a 46.

They'd already interviewed a black candidate from within the team though.

Since Dallas D is designed as a 3-4, I think more likely they'll want a HC that perfers the 3-4.
