View Full Version : Da'Bears and Brian Urlacher

Did anyone else watch "Inside the NFL" last night?

They were talking about Brian Urlacher and comparing him with Chicago's greatest Inside LB's Butkas and Singletary were the latest of the greatest behind Urlacher.

The one thing that caught my attention was the fact that Urlacher was a SAFTEY in college and was converted to Mike LB by the Da'Bears. Somebody did a great job moving him to a monster position that he no doubts dominates for Chicago.

I was going to go into how the Chiefs suck at this conversion thing but Brian Waters was converted to a gaurd and is PRO BOWL caliber so I guess they can do SOMETHING right!

Anyway I just thought that was pretty impressive of Chicago to make a Saftey into a pro bowl MLB.

Pollard doesn't really have Urlacher's build. I recall thinking that Urlacher was playing out of position in college. He was fast enough to do it, though.

Urlacher played some LB in college as well as safety. I believe he was actually in a rover position where he would play all over the field.
