I don't have a dog in this fight. I don't know who will win the game or in what fashion it will happen.

But can we go ahead and establish that sometimes a good game of football is played and onr team can beat another team and set of players without any of those teams or players "choking"

The term choking has to be the most over used one in sports. Someone could very well choke this game away...but I imagine one team will just be the winner.

I "state your name"

Promise to have a good time and get along well with others even if the team who i have decided to back in the Superbowl does the big choke job tonight.

Sorry, but refs and chokers decide games around here :harumph:

Manning had been throwing to defenders for 2.5 games.... it might be smart to give a little credit to the Bears defense if he struggles tonight though. Unless he ends up with something insane like a 1.3 rating.

I agree, its an overused term. If Manning or Grossman go 30/35 for 300yds. & 3 TD's yet lose, theres no way they could be called chokers.

I won't agree to that but I would if you gave Hootie's thread creation abilities back.

Mcnabbs was a choke job a couple SB'S back. The cards melting down in game 7 in 85 was the biggest choke job I have ever seen.

Grossman played up to his potential. I don't think you can call that "choking" exactly.

I really didn't care who won, I kind of rooted for the Bears because I really didn't see them winning the game.
