No link. It happened to my boss' sister this week. Her and her husband live in Arkansas City, KS. She called her today while she was on her way home from the lottery office. After taxes, she ended up getting $380K. Still, how cool would that be?

I can only imagine what I would do with that money. Definitely get a college education, move, etc.

That would be definete comfortable living. I'd pay off my bills easy and then buy a house, save whatever is left.

Must've been like a fantasy 5 or some other draw-type game. $2 scratchers top prize is usually 30->50K.

I don't know. SHe just said it was a $2 ticket. I thought that sounded like a high payout, too. They run special ones sometimes. Or at least they used to when I worked at a convenience store years ago. I don't think I've bought a lottery ticket, scratcher or otherwise, for at least five years.

My guess would be it wasn't 250,000 of them.

I don't think she buys that many. They bought the ticket over the weekend. They were at the store today, when her husband remembered that they hadn't checked to see if it was a winner yet (this makes me think it wasn't a scratcher ticket). They checked it, and found out they'd won.

She's married.

She told my boss that she would be sending her her share when she could. She's paying off one of her kids bills, and is going to get the other out on their own. She's quitting her job, but her hubby isstill going to work. They're opening up a landscaping business. She didn't tell my boss how much her share was going to be, and she didn't want to be rude and ask.
