I drop 10% of my salary in the company 401k, and a couple grand a year in a Roth.

I'm just getting to the point where I can drop a little bit into a non-retirement brokerage account. I'm working on my MBA and I have a class on investing right now. It's really interesting, so I'm looking forward to playing around with my brokerage account.

Throw in National Health care and GM leaps to the front of the pack in my mind.

Fidelity Freedom Fund 2040 huh? heh.. actually, I'm in that Exact same fund.
I'm not going to talk numbers, but I put a percentage of each paycheck into there which is matched by my employer.

I'm pretty happy with it... I'm just playing with pennies compared to you guys, but once I get a full time job I'd like to fully invest in my Roth and 401 K... I figure the more now, the better

I was actually thinking about moving back to the 2045 fund because I'm planning on retiring in 2047.

I have been putting 100 bucks a month into a Fidelity Roth IRA.... Investing in the Fidelity Freedom Fund 2040 (A mutual fund, of mutual funds)

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=FFFFX

100 bucks a month won't make me rich, but it's giving me a head start until I graduate college....

What do you guys invest in?

That's a damn good start for someone your age.

Real Estate, I've bought 16 rental houses ,no money down, tenants will pay them off for me, the 1st one will be paid off in 4-5 years. They currently bring in about 9000 per month, which leaves about 1600 per month for repairs. About a break even deal now. But when they are paid off I will be done jerking off boars.

I am putting money into apparel to sell online. I usually spend about $500 per order which gets me 50 shirts, or $200 for 12 pairs of shoes(depending on the brand. I more than double the money for every sell. Once I have enough saved up to get a lot of inventory I will start my own site (i'm just using ebay right now), and eventually hopefully open up my own stores. I will also get into real estate eventually as well

I invest in my material slut desires.

Oddly, my savings account is small. Don't know why :)

Yea, I started it last May, And I already have $1,570 in that bad boy... If I start fully investing (4,000 a year, but I think it goes up to 5,000 this year), they say I should have over a million bucks in 30 years... assuming that terrorists don't kill us all first.

I have invested heavily in a company that is making a new drug that regenerates the spleen AND fixes depth perception.

It has been quite the cash cow.
