Parry-Thomas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J.G._Parry-Thomas), a British racing driver, was decapitated by his car's drive chain which, under duress, snapped and whipped into the cockpit. He was attempting to break his own Land speed record (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_speed_record) which he had set the previous year. he died and still set the new record, wonder if the last words were "I'm not stopping, I am setting this new record or I'm going to die trying."
