Damn, just checked the jar I fed my daughter out of the last couple of days, first 4 numbers..... 2111.......... I don't think it is tainted though neither her or I have been sick. Never the less that jar just found the trash.

We've been eating a jar with 2111 product code as well. It's in the trash now, but none of my family got sick.

We have a jar of crunchy and a big jar of creamy Peter Pan with those numbers. Both are over half gone and no one here has gotten sick. I don't know whether to throw them out or keep on using them THEN mail the lids in for a refund.

Last week, I was enjoying a delicous hot cup of Swiss Miss Hot cocoa at work.

About half way through, I noticed a peculiar sensation in my mouth. I inserted a finger to fish out the foreign object, believing it to be a hunk of paper towel from the cup clensing process, or a piece of inner cheek skin I'd bitten off......wrong.

Upon further review, there on the tip of my right index finger was a 1/2" worm resembling a maggot or wax worm.

Immediately intrigued by what I'd found, I decided to pour the remaining contents into a sink slowly.....6 more of these creatures remained in the bowl as the chocolate sweetness disappeard down the drain.

Thats a total of 7 remaining. I'm still curious how many of these value added, crackerjack protein prizes I ingested.

Iowanian
02-15-2007, 04:01 PM
If I was thinking, I would have sorted them off and given them to an ice fisherman. I should probably sift through the other 5-6 bags in the box on the shelf and see if any more are in there.

Maybe I'll just put the rest of those bags in the break room and do a little "mooch fishing".

Swiss Miss' new add campaign will be pointing out that even with finer brands of mexican liquor you only get one worm per bottle but they are putting up multiple worms in each cup of cocoa and you will be able to drink your way to the worms without that pesky headache the next day.

Interestingly enough, upon my return home from work, there was a letter addressed to me from the manufacturer of the Hot chocoappleWormin Cider.

The letter essentially said "we regret this alleged incident of the alleged worms you allegedly found in our product. Since we care about our customers and fear that you are dissatisfied from the alleged worms in your product, Please enjoy this COOOpon for a complimentary package of our worm infested product.

Bob Dole has one almost empty jar of the GV brand with the 2111 code, and one unopened jar of the GV brand with the 2111 code.

Bob Dole also cooks all of his, so maybe that's why Bob Dole can't su...er, hasn't been affected.
