March 8-11, what's Ford arena like, what's Bricktown like?

Bricktown is pretty nice. I would imagine that parking close by the Ford Arena will run $5-$10. There is a lot to do though. Bass Pro is in that area, a big theater, the only indoor sit-down Sonic I've ever seen, Botanical Gardens and much more. They have trolleys that travel all around Bricktown as well as Water Taxis that get you fairly close to everything too. Both have a daily fee option where you can ride unlimited times for one price.

Here's a link to Bricktown...

I hadn't even realized the tourney was here. I may have to check into ticket prices.

With the Ford Arena, the first and second levels are good. I've sit in the second and third level for Yard Dawgs games (Arena footbal). Second level is nice. The third level (rafters) is so steep that I really didn't care for it. When you stand up it feels like if you trip you won't stop until you hit the second level.

I did. It was a BIG step up from living in Kansas.

Well, but you lived in Western KS, which isn't much different.

Oklahoma > Kansas

They probably have us doubled in population, or close to it.

2.7 mil vs 3.5 mil

Not even close to twice...

I've been to the big 8/big 12 tournament every year except 2005 since I was eight years old. Never been to Oklahoma City yet. Dallas last year was ok, but nothing like the good ole Kemper. Kemper may of been shitty, but those were the funniest tournaments ever. The atmosphere, tents, and everything around it was just so awesome. Hopefully KC can duplicate that when it comes back to the Sprint Center.

Does anybody know where you can buy tickets for the Big 12 this year still? I don't really want to gamble and try to scalp 'em.

Bumping this thread....I'm trying to coordinate if I'm going to the Tourney or not. What is the face value for 2 sets of tickets to all six sessions? Anybody know, or know where to get tickets?

Upper level(300's) $240, Lowers(100's) & club(200's) $300. Those are the face value, already sold out months ago. I'm just going to buy them when I get down there, never had a problem in the past tournys I've been too.

Just bought mine from the U. of Nebraska ticket office for face value in section 301 I think. It is upper level, but ah well. Still will be fun. So all Jayhawk fans, attack the U. of Nebraska for tickets and come down to represent the Rock Chalk.
