Late January I posted a thread called "I need emotional support," lamenting the diet Fariba was going to put me on.

Well, now, despite popular demand, I'm glad to report the following:
1- The diet has been pleasantly tolerable.
2- I have lost 12 pounds. Though I seem to have plateued at the moment during phase two. Hopefully it is temporary.
3- Fariba has been very active and supportive, gleefully finding and adopting low-carb recipes from the book every night for my next day. The food has ranged from totally tolerable, to actually good.
4- I like the adaptability of this diet. Last Sunday was my Birthday. So I did eat a couple of pieces of cake and other delicacies of higher carb and fat. On my own suggestion, I'm going through one week of phase one to compensate. I think 2 or 3 days of phase one would have sufficed, but I can do a whole week.
Since my summer heart event I had lost 25 pounds (mostly fluids). But the additional 12 that I have lost with this regiment has been a lot more visually and healthwise evident than the previous 25 pounds.
