Unleash the Fury Sherron Collins, unleash the fury. Once Collins makes it rain for 30 points, the media is going to be eating this kid up come tournament time. Anybody know a good action photo of Collins that I can make my avatar?

Baylor hanging in there with A&M. Its a 4 point game with 8 minutes to go.

Now if only Self benches Kaun, the formula to a final four shall be complete.

I am still irked at my wager loss of 50cents on the KSU game. I thought it would be a stomping win and the other guy thought it would be an under 10 point win. That will put me off betting for another 5 years.

Unfortunately the game is follow a Big Least foulfest on ESPN than still has 12+ min. to go.

Holy crap!! I just looked at the Florida at LSU game. Florida has only 35 points with 4:56 remaining in the game. Of course, LSU has 53. Florida is going down again.

Lzen

Well, after a few emotional games, we get ISU at home. I think KU should be able to bitch slap the Cyclones. However, it would not surprise me to see the Hawks come out flat. Either way, I don't see us losing this game. Knock on wood.

KSU is finally putting CU away. 76-62 with 4 minutes to go.

we've been playing better lately ...... i just hope we can bring it together.

i wanna see them continue to work on the inside game.

better entry passes ... better post moves ... chalmers continues to get back on track

Go Hawks

I think Kansas 82, ISU 64. Rush is going to have a big game. That sucks about Florida losing. I want Florida to win as much as possible to keep our RPI up. That is what is killing our bid for a #1 seed is our weak RPI. I was disappointed with our non-conference schedule this year. Anytime a team we beat does good, it helps our RPI. Thus I root for USC, Boston College, Florida, Oklahoma State, to make us look better. And of course Oral Roberts and Depaul too, those losses are ugly.

Thats true, but in all honesty I don't think KU has that great a chance at a #1 seed. Unless A&M losses again we're still behind them in the quest for a #1 even though we're ranked #6 and they're #8. If a Big XII gets a #1 my money is on A&M. Even if we beat them in the championship game of the conference tourney it'll be too late for them to switch us and A&M as 1 and 2 seeds IMO. The committee will have already selected their four number ones before that game finishes.

ISU. Roderick Stewart fouled out on the 3 point line.

02-24-2007, 04:23 PM
I gotta give it up for Collins. There is no doubt in my mind that he should be a starter. But I guess it doesn't matter as long as he gets plenty of minutes.

Mr. Laz
02-24-2007, 04:23 PM
Collins may the piece that puts are half court game into real motion.

a guy that can penetrate and create his own shot consistently.

that should break down the defense a bit and allow our other guys to just react.

Yeah, but they are a high RPI team that we don't play more than once. And it's not like they are going to win the Conf. Championship anyway.

I knew what you meant. But you did mention non-con schedule right before that. In any case, I agree. I, too, pull for those teams that are on our schedule that we beat. I found myself watching BC the other night for that very reason. Unfortunately, the blew chunks against Virginia Tech. :shake:

BWillie
02-24-2007, 04:34 PM
Our defense is looking great. The trap is really working well for us, and leading to fast break points. Jiri Hubalek is still a pussy. He can't bang with the likes of Kaun and Jackson

They used to always compare him to Richard Scott. He is definitely a physical presence inside. While he may not be as talented as a guy like Arthur, he is a very hard worker and makes plays. I love the guy and what he does for KU hoops.

KU better address their FT shooting problems ASAP because come tournament time if you can't make those you don't stick around very long. The last few games KU has been abysmal from the free throw line.

yup, and that is no easy task...losing Giles was a blessing in disguise

even though I hate forcing it to Kaun, you have to get him some buckets and he plays harder when he scores a bit....Self deserves a lot of credit for managing these egos, or finding compatible egos...
