Walmart money at work?

Not really but maybe indirectly. The WalMart HQ being here has definitely increased the growth here, but they are 20 miles north of here. This was initiated by the Springdale Chamber of Commerce. Springdale is the world HQ for Tyson Chicken, Jones Trucking, and Allen canning.

I am pretty excited about one of the Royals Minor league teams being here tho!

Minor league ball is a fun time.

We got the River City Rascals in O'Fallon MO 'A level' ball.

Does that mean Wichita is w/o a team this season? If so, too bad for them. Did Wichita have a AAA team at one time?

Albuquerque Isotopes games are a good time and the ticket prices are very reasonable. Concession prices, though, are decidedly major league.

Wichita still has the team for one last lame duck season. They will probally get a Northern League or American Association team in 08.

More like 1 and 1/2 hours from here to Branson. It takes me 2 hours to get to Springfield.

Springdale Naturals (Arkansas Motto "The Natural State")
Springdale Diamonds (Arkansas is the only state in the US with a diamond mine)

and humorously

Springdale Thunder Chickens (I don't think this one will happen!)

I like their design, it looks like the K.

Minor league baseball has changed dramatically over the last 20 years. It might be the fastest growing sector of the sports entertainment industry.

The landscape is a microcosm of the big league level. Owners don't really care how long their team has been situated in so and so town. If the facilities are outdated, they will bolt for another town that's willing to shell out to build them a state-of-the-art ballpark.

That may be because HOK designed it...I'm looking forward to it.

The Razorbacks Baum Stadium is also fun to go to. It's great because they allow you to bring in coolers full of beer and have 50 grills set up to cook out in left field. It's a pretty fun party out there with all the college girls. All for only $5 admission!

Im going up to Fayetteville March 10th for a campus visit. Arkansas is my leading school considering they have a decent Criminal Justice Dept. I plan on going to that KU/Arkansas Game and it sounds like they got it goin on for College baseball. The fact that they're getting the Royals AA team also bodes well in my decesion lol. I feel kinda bad for wichita though.
